Nike Kay Yow/Think Pink kicks **update...new kicks**

^i wouldn't say they "won't" be released, i doubt it.

but don't be surprised if those pop up this fall.

From the Lebron 7 thread....not necessarily Kay Yow/"Think Pink" inspired, but same gist of c/w.....kids only:

Dope nonetheless...

Becky Hammond of the SilverStars was rocking a pair of the Kobe 4's ( she passed on the Soldier's, which were in abundance @ the ATT ctr offices ). Damthing is, the SilverStar organization auctioned off their uni's AND shoes for 6G's. Yeah, the Kobe's are obtainable, for a hefty price.

Anybody have a pic of Becky Hammond wearing the Kobes? I'd like to see them on the court lol...

here's my pair of HD's. i've pretty much given up trying to find a 10.5-11 in them. these would have been rocked, but size 10 is just too small forme.

i've reading through the threads...but haven't seen anything yet...(so forgive me if this is a stupid question) - but now much of the proceeds go tobreast cancer research?

I know rock said something something in his earlier post - but I couldn't tell if he was trying to broaden the campaign or suggest that nike should donatethe proceeds from these shoes to the campaign...

thanks

breast cancer weekend coming up, lets see what players might wear.

jae oh en- just let go of my sz 10.5 in those hypers, if i woulda know i would have much rather let them go to an NTer.

I'm all for the cause, but why not offer the shoes in women's sizes (except for the blue chips). My girl plays ball, but wears a size 7 in womens (5.5in kids). She wants to wear these shoes, but can't because all the pink shoes are made for men

I know it's all about money at the end of the day. It is meant to promote awareness and that is great. But how much does it help the cause if most of thepink shoes sold are sitting in closets as part of a "breast cancer series collection."

someone eluded to why they dn't make more since the breast cancer assoc. would make more,

Nike only donated 2% of sales, so in theory yes it is more money, but not substantially more. Nike just builds the hype like they did with the kobes, soldiersand HD's, and then throws bluechips at everyone who can't get em. This is why I refused to buy the soldiers even though i wanted a pink shoe forbasketball season to wear in honor of breast cancer awareness. all that money i spend and 2 f'n %...
