Ever stay at a hostel

The movie hostel gave hostels such a bad look

posting for DatZNasty

I did. It was technically just an apartment that she rents out in sections similar to a hostel on airbnb.com for income. It was in Harlem. She charged 20$ anight for letting me sleep on the bunkbed which was in the living room, behind a curtain behind the sofa. I was on the top bunk, at 6'0 225. I make fun ofmyself and her for it all the time, but she was hella nice. It's just not something I will do again, unless I get a whole apartment/house to myself (whichwas the initial arrangement anyways, she just had her neice in town and gave her the apt I had booked)

But there's really no reason to anymore. With priceline's name your own price, you can get real hotel rooms DIRT CHEAP, even in expensive locationslike NYC. I stayed at the Fairfield Inn LaGuardia in Queens for 45 a night last weekend, walk in price is 209 and its 199 on the website. I stayed at theHilton ATL Airport for 59$ a night and it's walk in price is also over 200.

But no, I've never been nor have I ever even though about staying in one. Where are you going to that would require you to stay in a hostel?

Yeah, I did. I've seen the movie and it was no big deal.

i stayed in some when i went into japan. they're really clean there so it was all good. you can get a private room if you're with other people. i waswith other people but for some places i had to stay in the public rooms. my first night, one dude was angry at people snoring and would wake them up by pokingthem. he would do this all night. besides that experience, hostels aren't bad at all.

my cousins always stay in hostels when they go through europe. the people are usually friendly and you meet a lot of different people. but hostels in europeare usually dirty and have a lot more people in one room. my cousin told me someone was having sex and there's like 20 people in that room

.

check out hostelworld.com and hostelbookers.com. i think it's a good experience to stay in a hostel in some areas, especially if it's somewhere wherethey don't really speak english. you can get a lot of help at a hostel since they will be able to speak english and they're locals, so they know thearea.

Yea I've stayed in a hostel before...when I woke up, I was in a dungeon all shackled up. I don't even want to talk about what happened next...it givesme nightmares just to think about it!!

OH GOD

Yeah man so ghetto...but you can actually find nice ones that'll serve you breakfast sometimes

I know a few people who have and they said it was clean and nice..... just had to lock up personal belongings in a locker.

Also there were 4 of them that did it so they had a small room 2 bunk-beds to themselves..... Thats the only way I would roll if I just HAD to do it. I'mnot sleeping with a stranger

Yeah, its a good place to meet other people that are traveling through the area. Some hostel are really scary at night though..

Yep I've done it quite a few times, in Portugal, Rome, Madrid, and Granada. They were all nice and clean, good staff at each spot, and the other travelerswere SO fun. You haven't experienced a pre-party until you do it with people from all over the world (with one common goal lol)

most of kids on here are too young to travel outside of America so they don't know a dam thing bout hostels outside of the dumb movie

hostels are good places to stay at when you travel to foreign countries for extended periods
