In all my years of being on NT, I haven't seen a single Bob Marley appreciation thread, maybe I'm not in the music section enough or something but Ithought we should get one poppin' for the sake of the king.

Yea this new reggae aint even technically reggae. I haven't heard any of them label it reggae either. Call it dancehall and other shhh

Dancehall and Culture are forms of reggae. If you like Love listen to Jah Cure.. If you are on a conscious tip Luciano Warrior King Anthony B Lutan FyahCapleton Sizzla I-wayne Queen Ifrica Richie Spice are for you..just a few I could do this all day being from and living in The Caribbean
 
my dad is like his ultimate fan i gues...knows his whole story and everything..how he helped jamaica and all that...so after hearing all that i definitelyrespect this man and his music.(which is great btw) RIP

That's great and all, but that doesn't make him a better guitar player than Jimi Hendrix.

Jimi might be a better at playing a guitar but Redemption Song is a piece of music more enjoyable to more people than any thing Jimi has everdone....
 
Thank you to my man that posted the Steel Pulse joint. I listen to that whenever I wanna get hyped. If we gonna reccommend reggae albums I'd suggest TrueDemocracy by Steel Pulse as a great starting point.
