NT don't mess with Bob Marley? vol. Official Reggae/Dance Hall Thread!

There are 4 Marley sons that have records out, Ziggy, Stephen, Damien Jr. Gong, & Julian. Below are albums I'd recommend with a song or 2 from each of them.

.......

Hope this helps. Let me know if you need anything else. Look through the thread though. Lots of good stuff. All of the songs in this thread would make a great introduction to good reggae.

Ky-mani Marley also has a few albums out...I don't blame you for leaving him out, though, they're all pretty forgettable:

(from Wiki)

Like Father Like Son (1996)
The Journey (2000)
Many More Roads (2001)
Milestone (2004)
Radio (2007)
Evolution Of A Revolution (2013)

My pops still got this vinyl:
700

Wow. That's awesome.
Yea. My dad used to sing and be part of their entourage. I forgot who he was mad close to, Im thinking it was Bunny Wailer. But his record collection is sick :x ALl og Wailers, al Bob, Peter, Bunny solos. Steal Pulse, Freddy Mggregor, Gregory Isaacs.. inifiniti, lol

Really you think the 3 songs I posted are more mainstream than Redemption Song & No Woman No Cry? Most causal fans I've come across that say only have Legend wouldn't be all that familiar with the 3 i posted... :rolleyes

Yeah, in some ways Legend, as good a compilation as it is, was not the best thing as far as people appreciating the entire Marley catalogue.

Bob Marley - Mr. Chatterbox

Trenchtown rock at it's finest... Bob & Bunny... :smoking

Beenie Man - Bookshelf & Sean Paul - Deport Them

Which song was better? Beenie Man had the beat first but Sean Paul's use of the beat started underground & I think it became a bigger hit... :smokin

Director Damian Marcano has a new flick coming out called God Loves The Fighter. Check out the trailer below. The second vid is the first song off the soundtrack.
