i noticed that a lot from other recruiters also. it really depend on the area you are in, recruiters can put on blinders and go after the folks in thearea they have had past success with joining. when i recruited i went after everyone, i didn't care if you weren't interested you might have knownsomeone who was. i gave them my card and i kept it moving.

I remember I was at work and dude tried to recruit me. I'm like yeah, I'm just working here for the summer before I go back to school. Then he askedwhere I went and I just BSed him saying that I go to Oxford University in England. Dude was like oh, ok.

Just curious, how does one in the military get stuck with the job of recruiting? Besides being behind enemy lines, that the job I would hate the most if I everentered the military.

i volunteered as a specialist, but my higher ranking co-workers came up on orders and had no choice but to go into recruiting.
