An art form that has been long overlooked: Video game music.

AC2 has the best soundtrack this generation IMO.

Man, I feel like I'm the only one who's ever enjoyed FF2/FF4. That clip brought me way back. Cecil & Kain :pimp:

You ain't alone man, Final Fantasy IV is pretty much my favorite out of the series. I have damn near every single version they came out with  I have the original SNES, FF Anthology edition, GBA version, PSP remastered edition, and the DS remake (needa get around to playing that)

VGM you say? Well allow me to oblige... :pimp:
(warning, lots of vids)

Final Fantasy Music (note: anything Nobuo Uematsu makes is musical bliss. :pimp:)

Metal Gear Music :pimp:

Also, for those interested, You should look up Team Teamwork on Youtube. They do some amazing VGM/Rap mixes. They are definitely worth the listen. I might post some of their songs up later, along with more i can think of..

Great thread...

Originally posted this in the jazz thread, but definitely relevant in here too.

MGS definitely had some of the best ever...

I'd love to attend one of these VGL concerts...

I haven't played all the games listed in the thread but to me, Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch has some of the best music I've ever listened to, period. With surround sound it's a great experience.

Idk if this has been mentioned before I'm not combing through this whole forum to find something (unless there's a method to do this I'm not a frequent user of this site so I'm limited) but Brandun Deshay is a producer/rapper who's famous for sampling classic video game soundtracks and making them underground hits like Chrono Trigger-Secret of the Forest for Dom Kennedy-Locals Only and Mario for Dom-Where I Belong and also Final Fantasy for Casey Veggies-Hear Me Screamin and for his own **** and so on.
