My dad came here from Ireland around 20 years ago.
My mother's family has been in America for more than a hundred years, and before that Quebec, where I recently found out my great great great greatgrandmother was a madam at a brothel.

I think my Mom's side came from Germany in the 1800s, and my Dad's side from Ireland/Germany around the same time.

both sides came sometime between 1619 and 1865...probably somewhere off the west coast of africa. something about a "free ocean cruise..." both endedup in mississippi...

Both of my parents were born in the US as well as all four of my Grandparents, but I know the I'm 3/4 German.

My Mom is from Macau/Hong Kong and she came to the United States with my Dad (whose family is originally from Ireland but went to the States in the 1930s) inthe early 1970s.

Parents came from Vietnam with no money in 1980. Went from welfare checks to very comfortable.

My mom and her sister moved here from South Korea when she was 6, I think around 1971.
My dad's side I think came from Scotland in the early 1800's, but that was so long ago, Im sure there are other ethnicities mixed in there.

Great grandfather came from Cape Verde sometime around 1915-1920, the rest of the family I've got no clue, sadly.

same here; but one side ended up in the corners where alabama and mississippi meet, and the other ended up all over . . . oklahoma, missouri, cleveland,and assorted other locales.
