Good *@*$ Steph...the shooting will come. If he can do the other *@*$ they say he "can't do" like the 9 assts and 5 steals...he'll have asuccessful rookie year

On Tonight's Game:
"I was satisfied with our defensive effort tonight. We did a decent job, well enough to win our first preseason game. That was the focus (defense) of our offseason so we used this as a bit of a gauge of our training camp. I thought our rookies played well, and had some moments of greatness, and also struggled at times, but for the most part they made their contribution. I also thought our second unit did a lot of positive things tonight. I thought (Kelenna) Azubuike was in midseason form and that was good to see. And Mikki Moore will make that 15-jump shot, and he can pass, and we need good passers on our team."
On Stephen Curry:
"I think anybody that plays with Curry will become a benefactor of his play. He sees the floor well and is able to find people. Our backcourt is going to be small somewhat, but they are going to have to matchup with us as well on the other end."

On Curry's Defense:
"He had five steals, three more we thought he should've had. He's got fast hands, quick feet, and I don't know what else. He's going to be a special player."

Looking forward to watching Curry this season. I smell some Curry beef between him and Monta in the future.
 
Forgot it wasn't televised...some notes on the game then...

- The Jack tech was hilarious. the play was nowhere near him, nor was the preceding one, and yet he still got T'd in the middle of a Warriors offensivepossession. He was also more boo'd than cheered during opening intro's, though that cleared up once the game started. Baron also heard mixedboo's/cheers.
- Both Monta and Jack made a couple solid passes, though both sometimes fell victim to holding the ball for too long (no surprise there). Basically the passingout of pick and roll situations stayed crisp, but ball movement as a whole was still a bit sluggish with the first unit.
- Second unit looked alright. Morrow needed a couple shots to find the range but he got hot real quick. There was a nice fast break pass from Curry to Morrowfor a mid-range floater buzzerbeater at the half also.
- Curry looked like he belonged on the court offensively and with his off-the-ball defense (though the clips did keep going at him on backdoor off-the-ballscreens). He struggled with the obvious mismatches when they happened, but his help was pretty solid. He also held his own well considering Ricky Davis wasplaying solid pressure defense on him whenever they were matched up. I didn't even know Davis gave a +!#% about defense up until today.
- The Warriors defense looked solid for some stretches surprisingly. They seem to be trapping a lot of P&R's and using the big to force the opposingguard way out. Also, Biedrins and AR were trapping on the baseline a lot, looked pretty tough to get the ball out of there when they trap. During somepossessions, the W's were rotating well by running at the shooters and then helping on the penetration. During other possessions...they were the W's.
- I had no idea Mikki Moore could hit deep jumpers. Nice surprise.
- Overall I thought it was a pretty solid look at the team. Mags was OK, kept settling for jumpers from post-ups though. I'm excited to see more of theinterior defense...AR sent a Baron floater flying for a fastbreak opportunity, should be seeing a lot of those this season. Buike was also pretty solid, hestarted and did OK, missed a couple of shots he'd normally hit though.

In other news, the DJ spun Fugees - Ready or Not mixed with the Grindin' beat. That was a pretty big highlight for me. I was quite sober throughout thegame so if there's anything else you guys want to know, I probably had my eye on it sadly
