Jordan Brand Contest - THE NT-SHIRT WINNER: Mossified842345

Well since I can't do a Dirtylicious PS than I'll respond to this.

The Jordan Brand 10 years from now, will become a historic landmark of sale in which the Nike Company has basked all of it's glory and marbles under. However unless the company changes it's objectives with the continuous plan of quickstrikes, limited package sets, and etc. Eventually most of our generation and the one after us, who would be either mid 30s to late 20s will probably not have much of the time to appreciate it.

Therefore, I believe the demand will have a downward spiral and the supply will rise up again. Also in terms of quality, I don't believe they would invest in making a higher quality material than the Retros or OGs, they'll probably be even worst than before. If the market continues feeding this "hypebeast" machine that the brand was specifically built upon.

So for casual collectors and wearers of JB 10 years from now, will appreciate the brand and reminisce and probably crack open a DS pair or a used one that hasn't been worn for ages. But, as far as purchase power and the future for the company after the 23rd pair comes out. I don't believe it'll have the same shockwave effect, as it did for our generation and the proceeding one.

10 yrs from now JB will continue to exploit every single original idea that Tinker comes up with... you thought the cement/elephant/tribal print was over used just imagine how the XX3's design will be pimped for years to come
"Ugly kids wear Bapes" Hiroshi Fujiwara

I think they'll still be popular like they have been 10 years ago. The original AJs will become rarer and perhaps worth thousands in mint, the first generation of Retros will become more collectable, while the newer AJs like the XX, XXI and XXII may be Retro'ed. The only direction for its popularity that I can see is up, because the brand has a strong collector and fan base not only in the US but also in the Far East. Even youths from countries where basketball is not a major sport have been buying Jordans. They're not only sports shoes but are also fashionable items.

In the same vein as vocaldigital, JB will have no choice but to come to a point of overhaul. They will have to refocus, rededicate, and recommit to the core and essence of Jordan Brand at the point of its inception.

Jordan Brand is apporaching the latter part of its existance. We as Jordan brand enthusiasts arent just infatuated with the shoes but with the culture they embody. Jordan Brand represents the greatest player of all time, but so too does it represent the greatest player of OUR generation. I have trouble seeing kids in 10 years with the same appreciation for the player that jordan was and the brand he represents. 10 years from now Jordan Brand wont have the same effect on those who wear it. todays jordan entuhsiasts relish in the right to wear the Jordan logo, tomorrows sneaker heads will wear whats hot, and what represents their favorite sports heroes. Surely Jordan Brand will maintain a few classic shoes that will be available at certain times, like those of the Converse Chuck Taylor line, but 23 retros will not be in an endless cycle. There just wont be as much love for the brand in 10 years, so i say..... appreciate what Michael did for the sport of basketball, and what his brand did for us as fans. lets allow people in 10 years to have their own hero, one whose brand will bring them the same enjoyment that the Jordan Brand brought us.

In 10 years Jordan Brand will be the benchmark of Athletic footwear and performance appearal. The unbelievable moments that MJ created on the court will be handed down to a third generation, along with a desire to wear the shoes that the the greatest basketball player ever wore.
JB will finally be what it intended to be...a Brand. Jordans will be the generic term form all athlectic shoes no matter what brand; just like BandAid, Coke, and Kleenex Brands have become household names for their specific products. Customers will ask for Jordans out of habbit, and anything with a Jumpman will sell.
Brand Jordan will have expanded it's product line heavily into womens clothing, as mens executive attire. The Jordan logo will make it's debut on the summer and winter Olympics Platform for all sports solidifying it's world wide marketing dominance.

As for "Nike Air" returning to the retrop shoes...it will not. Brand Jordan will not be able to afford the loss in sales numbers with their loyal consumers mistaking Jordan Brand products as Nike products. The "Nike Air" logo will be vaulted...on to make a return as a trump card to bring back the first and second generation decades down the road.

Jordan Brand will be headed towards in a whole new direction in 10 years, and it may be for the good or the bad, it's up to you to decide. Since Gentry is saying that JB will go out with a big bang in 2008, as far as retros come, I think that JB will still be able to satisfy OG heads and others that want some nice original colorway retros or nice retros every once and a while. Even though it's said to be that JB will concentrate more on "Team Jordan", the "Air Jordan" retros will still be there, but just not as much. I say that because JB knows that the people still want these retros, but at the same time they don't want to OD on them anymore. But I think that JB will still make business from "Team Jordans" and sponsoring players in many sports. But you never know, in 10 years JB probably won't be the same anymore. Michael Jordan was part of the older generation, and in 10 years it'll be a newer generation. So JB will concentrate more on the newer players, by sponsoring them or perhaps just stop JB and let the newer players run with their shoe games. I guess you can say, since the time is passing, so are the shoes that are being produced during those years. Either way JB will always be remembered as a symbol of greatness, and Michael Jordan has made an impact in basketball and JB has made an impact in the shoe company and "shoehead" world.

In ten years you'll be "coppin" the newest jordan release at payless and basketball players will be wearin somethin made with quality materials from some other brand that cares about athelets and doesn't care about matchin your shoes with your du rag your boxers.

In ten years from now Jordan Brand will be a small part of nike If they stay the course that they are on. Todays retros Qaulity Is very poor For what you pay for some 140 dollar kicks. JB got swept away with the hype beasts On then limited joints The DMPS I could care less that it was limited I just wanted the Concords, that the True fan of Jordan Where unable to camp out for days to obtain. Why turn your back to your loyal FANBASE That has been buying Jays because its not a fad to them. JB Sold out to the loot "Hypebeasts" Making A qiuck Dollar What About the long run When the fad Is out and retroes are played out how colorways can you expect to sell? JB's Best way to stay in the game is by having a design team That has Its Qaulity second to none. And Getting rid of Genrty ASAP. Overall JB Is finally looking how is it going to stay near the top of the brands. It is not a good looking future With the Melo's.

I don't think Jordan Brand would be the same anymore in 10 years, things will be different if they even last that long from now. But if they actually do, I think they'll continue producing retros of Air Jordans just not as much. The Team Jordan line will expand, and I think that they'll put the Melo Line as the face of the JB company. Since Carmelo is a new generation player, they'll need somebody to represent the company that's a big named player in this new generation. Right now things aren't looking that well for JB, but in 2008 I think that the packages will make them MAJOR cheddar and it'll hopefully motivate them to continue retro'ing og colorways that people love. So the way I see JB in 10 years is that they'll continue with the retro scheme, but it'll be concentrated more on the new generation players that are on Team Jordan. True fans will continue to support JB, and they'll still have the random kids that'll buy the jordans. This company represents greatness, and it'll continue doing that.

i hope in a decade jordan brand will only be a memory to those old enough to have watched the man transcend the game. we live in a great time in which we got to see the greatest athlete lead million of followers to his sneaker line, but as we have seen before, the shoes cannot live forever without the player.

Right now, those buying the retro signature shoes got to watch Jordan destroy the competition in a Bulls' uniform (sorry but the Wizards days wasn't enough to sell some kicks), but as we grow older we probably won't be wearing his shoes forever. Some of the younger folks too young to have watched Jordan's reign only rock these with the idea that Jordan was a great player and that these shoes are a reflection of that. They are immating the older consumers.

But what happens when the younger consumers get older? Will they forever be lacing up a pair that pays homage to a player they've never watched play? Or will they follow a player like Kobe or Lebron, someone of their own time?

where are the Converse weapons that both Magic and Larry were pumping up so much? or who still rocks Puma Clydes for Walt "Clyde" Frazier instead of repping their b-boy character?

retro fashion comes and go, several years ago, we were experiencing a rebirth of the 60's and 70's in fashion, as many people seemed to have been wearing bell bottom pants, now, it's a re-birth to the 80's and 90's, with the high flamboyant fashion and of course, the retro of the classic Jordan's.

Hopefully, in 10 years, everyone will be mesmerized by a new athlete who will have us staring at his shoes on every ESPN highlight, maybe Kevin Durant?

IN 10 YEARS JORDAN WILL BE SELLING TEAM JORDANS.........MORE KIDS WILL START TO BUY'EM....BUT HE WILL PROABLY COME OUT WITH ANOTHER COUNTDOWN PACK AFTER THAT 10 YEARS

WHY?BECAUSE KIDS FROM AGES 11-16 WILL BE THEM

I for one see Jordan brand going nowhere but down..It continues to release sub-par shows that are equipped with laces and straps that are superfluous, Now I do believe that they can continue to re-retro shoes and make a profit due to the fact that we as shoe heads love the retro releases (except for the green beans :x

although making respectful yet questionable efforts, such as the "frankenstein" route merging styles together in hopes to generate a new design, jordan brand will take an alternate route. i feel that they will realize that selling michael jordan as an athlete has long expired and those that recognize him as a basketball player are out of the "shopping phase" and attempt to sell him as a role model/ fashion figure. This is somewhat evident by announcing the XX3 as the last of the series.

I see them doing this by not limiting Jordan apparel to only athletic gear, but broaden the horizon by making MORE genres of clothing, suits, golf & dress shirts, ties and possibly even a woman's line. MJ is far too popular and marketable to let his selling ability go by the year of 2010. I basically foresee it to become the 2017 version of Sean John.
I keep a fresh pair on, and they always crispy like Ritz crackers,
