Who here is old enough to remember Sky Jordans?

I was lookin' at all my kicks from when I was a kid and I looked at the straps on my OG VIII's and OG Playoff VIII's and I remembered wishing theysaid Air Jordan instead of Sky Jordan because the big kids had the Air and I only had Sky.

I know some of you older guys remember this.
 
I remember these. I also had a pair of AJKO's, wish I would have hung on to them.
 
My first pair of jays were sky jordan 1s. I was in the fourth grade and i got them at jc pennys of all places. Been hooked ever since.
 
I remember them but never rocked them cause I was 14 when the 1's came out and already rockin bigger sizes...
 
I'm 21. Anyone in the 20-21 range is old enough to have got a pair of Sky Jordans at around 6-7.

I wish I had the pics with me, but this was for thanksgiving break at my parents house.

I want to say the last pair of Sky Jordans I owned were XI's or XII's. I was in men's for the XIII's, but I think they stopped calling them SkyJordans at either XI or XII.
 
I definitely remember the Sky Jordans! My first pair of J's were the 7's in a boys size 5.5 (and I still have them!), so I imagine they weretechnically Sky Jordans.
 
Hey...I didn't think anyone else remember that except me...I was looking through my garage a few years back and found some of my old shoes from when I wasyounger. I noticed that they said "Sky Jordan" and didn't know why. Then I saw this post. Memories...oh, and BTW, this is my first post...kindawordy, but just thought I'd share...LOL
 
My first two pairs were Sky Jordan 1's. I still have both pairs with the boxes, hang tags, and tissue. Good Memories!

but I still have my box from my white/black sky jordan IX's, size 1y when I was in 1st grade. I wish I still had the shoes, or my black/red VIII's.


What happened with JcPenny and Jordans? That's where my IX's came from, and that's where I got my matching jordan jersey at the time. No way inhell you could get a legit NBA jersey from there, let alone some Jordans.
 
my first jordans were sky jordan sixes. i remember bein embarassed cuz i was always the shortest kid in my class, and eventually everyone grew into air jordansbut i still had the skies... dudes made funna me so bad

someone so school me on these shoes...never wore jordans till i was in my junior year of high school so "sky jordans" are new to me.

did they look differet than mens? someone said they were made fun of for wearing them so was it obvious to tell they were "sky jordans"? and also whydid the sky jordans stop?
 
i'm 25 years old now. i remember when i had the blk/red vii's back in 5th grade and the box said sky jordans. and all my bball kicks with airbubblesdidn't have the full bubble or something was always different from the adult sizes my older cousins wore... i always was sad about that too lol.

here are some sky jordan bordeaux vii's i picked up couple months ago, i posted em in pick-up post a while ago:
 
they did look different from the mens. instead of saying "air jordan" the kids sizes said "sky jordan". and many times there were somedifferences, similar to how the mars iv's in adult size had rubber wings, and kids and girls sizes had leather ones. there were small differences but, ialways noticed em cus my older cousins would have same kicks but adult size.
 
i never got sky jordans because we were a poor family living in Tijuana...now im ballin and buying shoes i never had when i was young...i feel bad cuz i missedout on what the rest of u people had...lol
 
yeah, to whoever asked if these were retroing next year, thats the SKY HIGH, which is like a blazer type shoe.

Basically, in lamen terms, sizes 12-6.5 were Sky Jordans, and men's shoes were Air Jordans.

Sometimes, the bottom would be different, Sky Jordans tended to be less detailed.
