i copped mine from finishline but they sold out b4 my dude could get his so we waited for footlocker to open...

theres like 50 million(exaggeration) people on the gate...

*note...i was in the mall the night b4 coppin some Ts...footlocker made this crazy neat @#%$ display which needless to say became part of the floor as soon as the gate opened...

they only sold 1 pair that day to this older lady for her son...@#%$ was wild...

Mar. 4--Customers clamoring for new Air Jordan basketball shoes caused a near riot at Florin Mall on Saturday, prompting a response from 60 sheriff's deputies dressed in riot gear who swooped in to evacuate the mall.

No one was arrested in the incident, and police reported only minor injuries.

The disturbance broke out at the Sheikh shoe store in Florin Mall where a crowd of mostly teens and young adults had been camped outside since 3 a.m. to buy limited edition Air Jordan XI Retro sneakers made by Nike and priced at $140 a pair.

By the time the mall opened its doors at 10 a.m., the crowd had swelled to about 200 people, all eager to slide their feet into the pricey shoes that bear the name of former NBA great Michael Jordan.

The problem: Only 80 pairs of the light gray, patent leather sneakers were shipped to the mall, and they were evenly divided among four shoe stores.
 
nah, never had a riot. closest i came was with the grapes release. this guy i work with wanted them real bad, so he paid me 50 bucks to stand in line for him cuz he was gonna be in vegas for his birthday (plus i wasn't feeling them). Easiest 50 I made. the store was gonna open at 8am, i got there at 6:30 and was the second in line. mad dudes started showing up around 7:30 and were bugging out cuz the store only had like 15 or so pairs. I the size 9.5 i was paid to get and bailed out. Dudes were yelling at me to find out what size i had....i just kept replying that it was MY size and high tailed it to the car that i had parked at the other end of the mall....just in case something jumped off. Hopped in the car and went to the crib...50 bux richer.

I think one of the crazyiest was the release of the cool grey XI's,they had riots everywhere and especially Tampa where i heard that things really got out of hand and if they bring them cool greys back out the same thing would happen again,there's just something so special about them cool grey XI's

I'm another size 14 guy, so most stores around me do not get 14s, only 13s, so I usually stick to eastbay or sometimes eBay later on if I'm skeptical about the release.

Yup the dmp . At queens center amll line of 100 plus kids. People passing by in cars claling evyerone on line losers. I didn't feel like a loser cause i was doing my friend a favor he thought he was gonna get robbed so i went. And i had a girl. So what ever Im on the line and i see these twins they cool one senstive and one agressive. He like ohh i came wit my bro for his protection he senstive im like really he goes yeah he pulls a gun out hes like i got this case anyone want to act crazy. LOL. Only 15 people went in queens center amll And each with 1 pakcge after the first 15 they go we only have size 11 in the dmp left. We like @#%$ why did only 15 kids go in and now they sold out if they only came out with 1 package a shame the first perosn to cop them goes im a sell them on ebay for $1000. My boy he get angry he goes f it lets rush the door so we all push and shove to get there he at the front a secuiryt guard takes out the pepper spray then he goes no lets not rush lol

YEAH, i have stories for DMP's, CG XI"S, Altitude XIII"S, and the GrapeV's.....but im too lazy to type it all
 
this is why i dont go anymore. Honestly im getting to old to be waiting in line with all these little young buck hype beast. i really dont want to have to put some punk in check. i almost got mobbed on by some dudes till i pulled out the heater. now i just see if i can get them online if not i wait til the hype goes down, or pay a little extra

I quit lining up after the Grape V relesaed. Being that I'm a new father...I would kill me to do serious harm to someone's child because they aren't mature enough to respect others that are waiting.
There's a couple of spots around that let you reserve early and pick up on or after release. This keeps me out of trouble.

When the aqua 8's came out there was a big crowd of people outside the mall. Me and my homeboi went up there early. Then when the doors opened, it was like you were in a track meet. Everybody took off in a sprint! We took off too. Since we actually run track and are young high school cats we blew past the crowd and were 1st and 2nd in line to get our aquas.
 
Thank god I'm big enough to kick butt, lol. I hope the playoff 8's aren't limited 'cause I hate to stress over how hard it'll be to get them
