since this guy doesn't seem to want to back up what he says (and since he's wrong) i decided to take it a step further and compare the 2000 retro vs. the 2007 LE vs. the current 2009 retros.

i didn't go into detail on the recent releases because the 2007 & 2009 retros are essentially the SAME sneaker minus the 1991 commemorative stuff (hang tags, insole, numbering.)  tongue, leather, quality of paint, the pump... it's all the same.

read on for the differences with the 2000 retro.

the 2000 retros:

as can be seen above, the tongue is actually smaller on the 2000 retro. there is netting at the ankle collar and below the "Z" and reebok logo.  the leather is also superior.

there's also netting on the tongue, behind the laces.

the text on the tongue is stitched, and there is no hole inside both p's in "pump" like in recent releases.  the pumps here work as intended.

every characteristic above matches these ones up perfectly with the original omni zone II (reference pic below)

that's pretty much it.  there's really no need to expand on 2007/2009, but i'll go into more detail if anyone wants me to.
 
thanks for posting that comparison pics, I havent been back in this thread since my original post so sorry if it appeared I didnt want to "back up" what I said. When i saw these in a local shop i was wearing a pair of the 2007 retros and i put them next to the 2009's and the tongue seemed so be way more narrow along with the padding around the ankle seemed to be not as thick. Now seeing the 2000 retro next to those 2 the 2000 seems to have the smallest tongue but the 2007 still seems superior to me
 
Thanks holler mcdollar for the Omnis from 2000 pics. I sold mines from 2000 =_( ya the leather is softer and lightly pebbled on them~
 
Laces are quite short in this one~ much longer for the Twilights~ strange...I cant even lace them to the top (last) pair of holes.

i sold DS pairs of the white colorway on ISS for $150 shipped and on ebay for $175 shipped about a month ago.  i have one more pair of the whites DS that i plan on listing for $175 on ebay again.

unfortunately ebay is your best bet for anything non-nike.
 
Got mine back in dec. from sneakerhead.com for 89 shipped and I love them, only wear the black pair.

^^Glad you threw the white laces on them...I did the same...thats the way Dee Brown had them in the dunk contest.
 
I just found a thing. The arc on the pump bladder is colored in black from you all got from the states~ But the one we got in HK at least not sure in asia. The arc is orange same color as the bladder.

I just ordered a pair from FL for $95 shipped. I wanted these so bad in 6th grade, tried to trade this kid my LA Gear regulators until his mom found out and made us trade back. Now I have them, 17yrs later!
