SAN DIEGO (AP) - A college basketball game has been scheduled for Nov. 9 on the flight deck of the aircraft carrier museum USS Midway.

Syndicus Entertainment, in partnership with the San Diego Sports Commission, announced the game on Friday.

San Diego State and Georgetown are among the teams that have been invited, although an announcement confirming the participants isn't expected until after the NCAA tournament.

The game will be part of a Veterans Day weekend celebration on the Midway. On Nov. 11, Barry Zito's foundation, Strikeouts for Troops, will host a gala and concert on the flight deck.

Last Nov. 11, North Carolina beat Michigan State in the Carrier Classic on the USS Carl Vinson. This year's Carrier Classic, produced by a different group, appears headed for Charleston, S.C

Thank you Clark and sims. Led this team when no one thought we would even compete this year.

Turnovers as usual. Fell in love with the 3 early We also didn't have the same intensity as the Belmont game.

I'd love to see the play jt3 drew up at the end.

I never thought we'd lose a game from defensive rebounding issues, tough for that to pop up in the final game and be the difference.

A big thanks to Jason and Henry for this season.

My wish list is:

1. Broadus back.

2. Hollis back.

3. Nerlens

4. Point guard who offers something different. And by different, I mean creating offense..not following a pattern.

Broadus should be a no-brainer and just a matter of when it's announced, not if. Give me one of the others and I feel okay..2 of them..and I'd feel great.

Have other things I want changed but when you're about to enter year 9..? Hard for me to even waste the time talking about it (careless TO's, pace, shots out of timeouts) until III accepts/sees something needs to change. At least this past year he saw that small ball wouldn't work and got back to what did. I'd also like to see Othella get a chance to get out on the road to recruit sooner than later..but asking for 2 coaches to be replaced is a lot to ask (Brennan & Hunter).

Thought the team hung in there well after Hank picked up 2, but then the first missed box out cut it to 6..then Jabril took a quick shot..they came back and made a 3..down to 3..and then we just stunk for a big stretch in both halves. Proud of them for fighting back but again leaving a game out there that they probably should have won if they played a cleaner game.

All in all, a step back in the right direction with a bigger, more versatile roster that defends. Few more additions/tweaks and they should be set for a good couple years with this FR group. Really, as soon as next  year if Hollis decides to come back. Hollis isn't an NBA player..but getting his degree this spring leaves him with options. Whether or not he enters the draft, goes overseas or does a post-grad year somewhere else (that would sting)

Just watched the recording..... 4 points.... That will do it.

We did alot more then I thought we would this year. But still

Farewell Sims & Clark

that's tough to swallow. we had that one and we let it get away. got KILLED on the boards...relied way too much on the three...and as good as clark and sims were for much of the year...they just didn't play as well as the could have today. i said it earlier in the year...we NEED clark to show up if we're to make any noise. and today he was off. we really needed him to play like he did against belmont. i feel bad his last shot went down the way it did. hollis today was make a play, +%#* up a play, make a play, +%#* up a play. that said, it'd be good to have him back if he can get his nba visions of grandeur under control and learn to play with the team. he tries to do way too much at times.

porter continues to amaze (aside from that shot

). he's all over the place and full of hustle. i hope he only improves and stays hungry this offseason. LOVE what i saw from him this year though.

excited for next year though. if we could lock down nerlins....awwww eeeeeeen.

This is getting to be a tired cycle. At least we won 1 right...smh.

Turnovers and poor shot selection always does us in. Not sure what to expect next year. Clark did an amazing job leading this team that probably went unnoticed, IMO.

Excited to see what Hopkins has to offer in Sims place. Starks needs to wake up.

Didn't even realize Hollis is graduating this year. If he were to do a post-grad year he wouldn't have to sit out a year, right?
