It was a huge deal last month when the news broke that Rihanna and Chris Brown were following each other on Twitter. But maybe that was their way of testing out the waters and seeing how the media and fans would react because in its most recent issue, UK’s Nowmagazine reveals that the couple has allegedly been secretly talking and yes, meeting! Read more after the jump…

(NOW)–Superstar Rihanna has risked the wrath of her fans by secretly seeing the man
who beat her up and broke her heart.

The singer’s even
used Twitter to stand up for ex-boyfriend Chris Brown, 22, who split her lip and left her battered and bruised after a vicious attack in February 2009.

The restraining order she’d taken out was lifted in February in time for the Grammys and our sources say Ri-Ri, 23, has met up with Chris twice since then.

‘Ri-Ri’s always loved Chris – that never changed,’ reveals a source. ‘They’ve texted and Skyped each other a lot recently and met up at a mutual friend’s house in Los Angeles after the restraining order expired.’

Sources close to the couple tell Now they want to give things another shot.

‘Ri-Ri wants to be with Chris but is worried about her career and fans,’ says our insider.

‘She’s trying to find a way to take him back publicly without letting down her supporters, her management and her friends or setting a bad example.

‘Chris has said he’ll be as patient as she needs him to be but after being slammed on Twitter for just following him, she’s begun to worry that they may never get to be together in public.’

UPDATE: The red-haired singer is currently in the studio working on the rerelease of "LOUD."

With her latest album LOUD hitting stores last November,Rihanna is already in the studio recording for her sixth studio LP, hitting stores this fall.

According to Rap-Up.com, the Bajan songstress is currently multitasking while on her “LOUD
Rihanna 'Can't Wait' For Fans To Hear New Album

RiRi and her 'Cheers' producers tweet about recording album number six.
She may still be wringing singles from her platinum-plus Loud album, but Rihanna is already prepping her sixth studio effort. And, from the sound of things, it'll be finished soon.

RiRi took to her Twitter account early Thursday morning (September 15) to confirm that, yes, sessions for album number six are already under way. "I can't wait to start filling u guys in on some details!" she exclaimed.

Rihanna punctuated that tweet with a "*Zips lips*," meaning that, for now at least, she's done talking about the project.

Talk of new music began on Wednesday, when the singer retweeted a post from production duo the Runners (Rihanna's "California King Bed" and "Cheers"), who wrote, "Shout out to @alexdelicata for makin history with us. Wait till they hear this new @rihanna song."

But in late July, producer Verse Simmonds — one half of the studio duo known as the Jugganauts, who produced Rihanna's hit "Man Down" — talked to MTV News' Mixtape Daily about the new album, saying that Ri was close to completing work on the disc.

"From what I understand, she's is closing the album up now, and we did two records for her that she really, really loved, and I'm really excited about them as well," Simmonds said. "They are records that we wrote and produced as the Jugganauts."

Simmonds said he was "99.999 percent" sure that he and production partner Sak Pase's contributions would make the final cut, and while he wouldn't elaborate on what Rihanna's new album would sound like, he did hint that it'll move in a direction quite different from "Man Down."

"Because we ... as producers, as artists, we try to always come with something different, a whole new sound," he explained.

Of course, finishing up her album isn't the only thing on Rihanna's plate these days. During Wednesday night's "The X Factor" launch party in Los Angeles, Simon Cowell confirmed to KIIS FM that she would also serve as a guest judge on the show, saying, "You're going to see her."

Rihanna was looking for love and it seems she found it, on her next single at least. As she gears up for the release of her sixth album later this year, the Loud singer has released the name of her next single.

On Monday, Rihanna confirmed the name of the first single off her forthcoming album, tweeting, "NP: "WE FOUND LOVE." Soon after she announced the name of the song, it became a Twitter trend, to which the singer responded, "We in dis !!!#$! ... 'We Found Love' is trending WORLDWIDE...!"

A rep for the singer confirmed to Rapup.com that the Calvin Harris-produced song will hit radio on October 11. Harris toured with Rihanna on a leg of her Loud outing earlier this summer. "Calvin is the perfect fit for the Loud tour. He is going to bring something unique and fun for the fans," Rihanna said at the time, according to JustJared.com.

Last week, Rihanna announced that her "GangstaR"-fied next album would be heavily influenced by club music, sharing on Twitter, "You KNOW how I been lovin Dubstep since Rated R."

Collaborators for the forthcoming project began dishing details on the LP months ago. Back in July, producer Verse Simmonds, who worked on Rihanna's reggae-infused hit "Man Down," talked to MTV News' Mixtape Daily about the album's progress.

"From what I understand, she's closing the album up now, and we did two records for her that she really, really loved, and I'm really excited about them as well," Simmonds said. "They are records that we wrote and produced as the Jugganauts." Simmonds admitted that he was "99.999 percent" sure that his Jugganauts' contributions will make the final cut, adding that his tunes on the LP will not sound similar to "Man Down."

But Rihanna isn't keeping all the magic to herself. She's also set to appear on Coldplay's next album, Mylo Xyloto, on the track "Princess of China." "Well, her bit on our record is my favorite bit ... when the song came out, it sort of asked for her to be on it. And I think at this point, we have nothing to lose, and so we've been trying some new things and trying to break down the perceived boundaries between different types of music," Chris Martin explained. "Because from where we're sitting, it seems like you can try and sound any way you like nowadays. You don't have to be in a rock box or a hip-hop box or a pop box, and I think it's fun when you embrace that idea."

Rihanna speaks on Chris Brown :
It's incredible to see how he pulled out of it the way he did. Even when the world seemed like it was against him, you know? I really like the music he's putting out. I'm a fan of his stuff. I've always been a fan. Obviously, I had some resentment toward him for a while, for obvious reasons. But I've put that behind me. It was taking up too much of my time. It was too much anger. I'm really excited to see the breakthrough he's had in his career. I would never wish anything horrible for him. Never. I never have.
