... but hitting the boards andblocking shots.

Webster and Outlaw playing well.

Andre Miller looked awkward out there...

Crapload of TO's tonight... first game of the season, but still.

Don't be surprised to see him in the running for sixth man of the year.
I don't think Saunders will keep him on the bench, he was too damn good tonight, he may start him.
cant start foye, because he's too small to guard most opposing 2 guards, and he's pretty ineffective when running the point..

but, at those moments when the zero + foye combo is on the court... watch out..

It's what killed us tonight, and since Rick refused to play Ross, we went downhill.

Blazers getting a lil' sloppy right now, you can't let a dude with a flesh colored beard beat you.

Did Andre Miller just hit a three? Yup bad look.

Andre looks out of shape, straight chubby.

Brandon Roy just missed the easiest layup of his life. Dude straight put it off the backboard like he had someone there to throw it down.

Greg Oden's stat line is killing me... 0 points, 10 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal, 4 blocks, 5 fouls, 7 TO's.

Travis beasting.
Martell.
Rudy the sharpshooter.

Roy with the missed layup.

Miller... stop shooting...
25+ turnovers...
LMA afraid to grab boards...

Oden is king of the head-scratching statline. 1-3? @@%*. 12 rebounds?

. 7 turnovers? @@%*. 5 blocks?

2 points? @@%*.

Travis and Martell both looked beastly out there. LMA, not so much. A very weak 11/6.

Very nice to see Webster out there though, especially after not playing last year.

Yessir.

Still don't like the Miller signing... meh.
I don't blame you, with a superstar in Roy, you don't need a PG like him starting next to him. Blake is sufficient. If anything, grab aspeedy, quick PG like Aaron Brooks, JJ Barea, Jannero Pargo kind of guy, not Andre fricking Miller.

Do you think Blazers hold onto both Travis and Webster this year? I kind of see them trading one of the two.

Honestly, they need to package one + Miller and ship them out... with Batum, it creates a hell of a jam.

Bring in a decent big body, and let Bayless get some burn. Use Rudy as the 6th man/spark and Nic in the annoying defender role.

You should take on JJB and then take Dampier, give us Joel and either Travis or Martell.

Good deal I say.

But really.. I forgot all about Bayless, I'm sure he'd fit that speedy PG role fine, and yeah another big body would help dramatically.

I'm just trying to think of able big bodies who are on the last year of their contracts. I got some work to do tomorrow.

LA was so friggin' unimpressive tonight. I know some of the other guys struggled, but his play concerned me the most.

Ah well, 81 more games to go...

Saw the box score and am watching a replay of the game... definitely didn't expect a slow start to the season from him.

Yeah if you just look at his statline, you think oh it wasn't bad, but watching it was rough. He just didn't seem to know what to do outthere. He's probably still thinking what he's going to do with all his $.

Maybe you could holler @ Detroit for Maxiell.

Scored Blazer's first 9 and went ghost...i couldn't blame him though, he didnt touch the ball that much after or looked like he wanted itand his early foul trouble plagued him.

Like you said, Turnovers were very very ugly...we got saved by our rebounds and 2nd chance points.
Hopefully Thursday will be better or we lose to a very good Nuggets team.

Glad to have basketball back.

This thread needs to stay on page 1 all year.

Eric Gordon was nice last night, I wish Blake was out there, I want to see what they can do.

But um, what the hell happened to Baron Davis? Ya'll see his stat line?

Felt great to wake up this morning and watch some NBAhighlights, especially the top 10 plays. I was tired of baseball

But of course ESPN continued slurping LeBron. They put two of Kobe's plays into one top play (#4 play) and gave the #1 and #2 spot to LeBron for the blockson Ray (at #2) and the one on Rondo (#1 play).

At some point this season I fully expect to see LeBron on Primetime, and Favre on top 10 dunks on ESPN. They'll find a way.
