you def missed out when they had pioneer leather as an ID option. i'm still kicking myself for not doing any pairs with that material.

The material used, nubuck like on the blue/silver and black/royal hi's wears much better than the leather. Its almost crease resistant.

Grey box Red Jewel lows were one of the best AF1 (if not all kicks) drops of 2012 IMO.

Wore my pair a few days ago,that whole set of low jewels got a bum rap. Good for me to buy cheap, but I just wish we'd have gotten contrasting jewels without Nike changing things by putting patent leather in the mix.
Old jewels are stuff that I wasn't into at the time, but now wish I'd had the foresight to buy cheap.
