I know people are gonna knock it, but I kinda like the off-colored ivory midsole. It gives the feel you really copped a 1982 pair "new"

They said no at first when I checked yesterday until I found someone that actually knew what they were talking about. I was told fcfs. The "manager" didn't even know which isn't surprising lol.

Yellow patent leather Swooshes set off the upper, kept wavy with white 3M trim. Navy velour on the insoles and medial center panels, contrasted by red Italian leather on the lining. Rubberized medial side heel panels to minimize scuffs, navy nylon tags the tongue, and red patent leather shines on the inner swoosh.

count me too... those star-studded AF1's look all wrong. diamonds morphing into 4-pointed stars morphing into 5-pointed stars?!? Maybe they'll distract the 'beasts from the AF1 white/silver highs.

I'm paranoid that Nike has just found a way to make synthetic leather look and crease more like the real stuff.

I like the ivory midsole. It give them an understated vintage feel. I'm going with the grey straps BTW.
The leather feels great. It's really soft especially at the heel/collar area of the shoe. Thats what I was trying to capture with that last pic. I saw a pair of White/Grey highs with the mesh vamp/qtr panel on ebay last week. They're nice but that mesh gets dingy looking when it's dirty.

People pay +1000 for mass produced, sweatshop shoes all the time. I think this is a better alternative... still not worth a grand

FootLocker downtown Chicago if you're still looking for sizes. I kinda don't think they sold any. I have a few pairs in the way and wanted to make sure my usual .5 down (9 in most shoes) was good and these felt GREAT.

Doesn't seem long IMO. I know for the Spizikes they were rotating the materials pretty often.
If you have something in mind now with the materials available, its best to buy now and not wait.
