EDIT: anyone else who picked up instore today notice if the price tag was ripped off -- both of my pairs (NYNT and 21Mercer) were ripped off.

More than a couplealp Regular. Employee told me special boxes were long gone. Said a couple of dudes straight up didn't even want them without the box.
, probably half ain't want em without the boxripped off, tag was 100 and they ripped em off to reflect the price change.

When people say af1's are dead, I just think thye mean from an aesthetic standpoint. we got bombarded by Af1's in the late 90's-mid 00's that alot of people got tired of them. Then peoples shoe tastes started to change and Af1's were just too plain to alot of people. This goes true for me too. I used to weat Af1's religiously but once I started getting into SB's(not just dunks) Jordans and nike bringing back alot of good retro models , I could rarely go back to plain jane, 1 size too big Af1's. Dont get me wrong I still buy them, but its not like it used to be. thats why alot of people pop up for special releases, it makes them feel excited about the af1, at which some point they lost that feeling. Or they are hypebeasts. alot of the times its the former.
Im just really grateful nike still gives me reasons to genuinely feel excited about the Af1 (lunar force, liberty, AC Qs) outside of the random must have colorway.
