Here are some closeups on our fishes I think I missed some but here we go

This is our eel she got bigger she looked like a little worm when we got her. She is about 6 inches long now.

Three golden or orange barbs they are about 7 or 8 inches they are the biggest in the tank besides the monster.

got two of these but dont know what they are called they are the babies of the tank

Two mollys we call them ebony and ivory
laugh.gif

And go three of thee cat fish (iridescent shark) they are big too

Got two sucker fish (monster lurking in the background)

And lastly the "monster" it is an overgrown sucker fish that we got from my girls grandma
they had a huge goldfish too but it died so we go this one it had got to be over 8 or 9 inches long
eek.gif

Not pictured are spotted catfish they always hide in the castles
and two parrot fish they hide too

Btw Nice arowanna and the reef tank

And the owner of that turtle should give it to someone that has a heart!
Come one bro that is nasty and cruel would you live in your own filth?

Got rid of the clowns, they're evil fish. Right now there is just a lawnmower blennie and a yellow watchmans goby for fish. Few different crab species, cleaner shrimp, sexy shrimp and an urchin for inverts. But frogs > fish. fish/coral are my husbands hobby.

I love those Barbs...do you know if they would bealright to mix with the tiger Barbs I already have?

back in high school i had like 4 tanks going. a 20g (growout for the fry), 10g (quarantine tank for the sick), 20g (where the fry went when they were bigenough) and a 55g with breeding oscars.

when i got to college, i bought a 20L and used one of the 20g to go saltwater. i drilled the tank, sprayed the back black. i havent done the plumbing for ityet to connect the two tanks. but its going to have a refuge with a closed loop system for extra circulation so there isnt going to be any equipment in thetank. it all going to be in the cabinet under the tank.

i have everything except the ro/di unit, sand, and halides. i already got 75lbs of live rock, skimmer, and salt. if i can come up on 500, i can start it up.but until then, everything is sitting in the closet.

on_line.gif
jrp44 - i would imagin it would be ok but double check with your local pet store.
i mean we have other smaller and less aggressive fish and they leave them alone.

xDOEBOIx - the sharks are fine and yeah they do gocrazy like swim super fast and run into stuff.
also at the top of my tank there is a piece of glass about 6x6 inches and they have jumped out onto the floor before.

Thanks for the comments you guys!

Wish I had a pic but my uncle basically made half of his basement a Koi pond for his Kois.

Looks sick too, he cut a square hole in the living room so he can look down at them

I cant wait to get my own spot. A fish tank will be in my living room with some dope lights and a dope setup. I dont want to set one up here and then move itwithin a years time. Might as well wait. Search fish tanks on google, and you'll find some REALLY dope ones. Some people make under water gardens with themand they're all green with fish in it. Adds 3463634 points to whatever room it's in. Could be better than HDTV

i'll post up my tank when i get outta class. have a baby eastern painted turtle, bottom feeder, beta and a couple little white fish. used to have more butthe turtle likes to chase/nibble/kill the fish

I kno I kno I kno *gravedig* but at least no one cant say theres already a thread on this.

I want to start a fish tank I have a decent amount of space I can dedicate to it. I dont want a small tank nor do I want a huge one. I read 55 Gallon tank was the most popular? Anyone here have a 55 and what did you pay for it?

Petsmart have a decent one for a good price but still would like to shop around.

Me and the wife wanted a dog but dont think we will have the time to dedicate to it plus i always wanted my own fish tank so we agreed on that.
