Hyperdunk 2010 Thread

overall i like the design, but i don't think it's better than the hyperdunk. i like the transparent side panels of hyperdunks because it didn'tgive the shoes a bland look like these or hyperize where the side is one color minus the nike logo. seems a little higher than the hyperdunks too, whichisn't that bad but i'd prefer it to be a little shorter. regardless, with the right colorway and limited editions, they will sell...

no, those were a hyperdunk upper on zkIV tooling. these are neither zkV or hyperize, instead a completely different shoe. that article is mostly speculation.

man i wish they came out with those hybrids with the hyperdunk top with the kobe iv bottoms....

I dont think you guys realize how many kicks these dudes have to design in ONE season. When I critque I do it with purpose and state what I would have done differently... the Designer appreciates that more than just... its garbage or It could be better.

You guys may or may not realize when you give constructive feedback good or bad they can actually use it.
You are definitely right Rock. These dudes see everything in here that's true

I know that you were talking about my thoughts too and let me tell you that onthe Hyperize project there were many things that he kinda risked at hoping that they would turn out to be good but he failed. I don't think that a guy likeLeo who has been designing for years running and recently basketball shoes needs any details on the flaws

For example he definitely knows that herringbone is useless inside a smallsquare but he used that, or that phylite in comparison to phylon us much stiffer and has to be used as a shell with the main cushioninginside(Lunaracer/triner&Lunarglide) at least for Bball sneakers but once again he chose that and stated that it won't have any cosmetic issues likephylon has!

He knows his mistakes and we are here to prove them

I think he got his lesson from the Hyperizers

I went back to see what you said earlier and I honestly didnt see your comment, but as far as designs go you live and learn. My comments dont mean dontcomment or make a negative comment. Check my posts.. I leave plenty.. but I also speak on why it doesnt work for me... cause thats what I know best.. whatdoesn't work for me..lol I def. dont know every aspect to design and a designers reasoning.. but I know alot of thought goes into it for sure. Comingfrom Running.. Leo has to do ALOT of research on a runners gait as well as other technical things, so putting those things in place for Basketball Im sure hasbeen helpful. Im not a Fan of the KD line for design purposes.. but Leo has alot of other things I am a fan of.

I agree with you and we all know and support you

Yeahthat's what I'm trying to do too but I also like to speak generally about flaws and improvements on shoes. We all respect Leo and that's why Nikeput him into the bball kitchen
happy.gif
He shares knowledge from both fields andthat's what makes him unique thus both Nike and we expect a lot from this guy

Just as well are Nike's plans to release the second version of their Hyperdunk sneaker, which is called the Nike Hyperdunk 2010. Taking what was so great about the previous Hyperdunk and altering the design, the new Hyperdunk appears to be a more supportive, cushier update and continues with the Hyperize to be the advanced fulfillment of the Air Huarache line.

The Nike Hyperdunk 2010 returns with the Flywire technology and the Dynamic Innersleeve for full foot-body comfort. The famous floating heel counter returns as well for heel lockdown. The midsole returns in a new two-tiered design, which differs from the previous model's more traditional sculpting, as the new midsole appears to act both a semi-cupsole and cushioning platform (borrowing from the Nike Huarache 09); it is made of Phylon encasing a full-length Zoom Air unit, which also differs from the Cushlon/Zoom Air & LunarLite set-up that many were on the fence about on in the first Hyperdunk. In this way, there is bonafide support and bring-back cushioning that might have been somewhat lacking with the LunarLite. Complete with a rubber outsole with herringbone traction, the pivot point and flex grooves, the new Hyperdunk 2010 may be even better suited for on-court action.

Expect a $110 price tag sometime in the first or second quarter of 2010 (and much thanks to Andrew for continued exclusive briefings on the upcoming releases!).

Dovi out.
