Hyperdunk 2010 Thread

I just got mine in today from NDC. They are the same USA colorway as the ones that two other people posted of their actual pairs here (pg20). They are not the other colorway that has more red trim and red on the midsole, even though that's what's pictured on NDC. Just FYI.

These are the ones I wanted though and they feel good and true to size.

I can't compare these to the Hyperfuses. Haven't tried them on yet but seeing that they're on Eastbay now I'ma hit up the mall & see what they're feeling like. As for the HD2010, I played in mine & they feel great. Better than the OG Hyperdunk but not as good as light & form fitting as the Kobe V. The grip is amazing; as it was on the OG. I'm sure they'll feel even better once they're broken in a little more. Only time will tell since I play in: Inlines, POP's, Del Sols, white/black Hyperdunk & all white Hyperdunk (iD). I like to rotate to preserve the life of my shoes.  I'll most likely play in the Laker 2010 next.

Well I have the OG Hyperdunk as well...

...and the side panels do snap and pop when the foot flexes, as plastic does when you bend it in certain positions. Mine fit perfectly, so that is not the problem. Since Nike has made this new shoe entirely out of plastic, so I can see this happening even more.

Great looking shoe, but an easy pass. I like leather shoes.

i wish i still had these........ they are one of the best out of the many cws

New to this thread...

Thoughts/opinions on these? Saw them @ NTSF. Not a big fan of mids since the Kobe Vs but these looked pretty dope.

Lately Nike has been coming out with overly flexible shoes that cause plantar fasciitis. Shoes like the hyperize and the new hyperdunk 2010 have no torsional rigidity. You can literally bend those shoes in half. I understand the need to not wear a heavy shoe but don't come out with something that can hurt a player. While it is ok for a shoe to have some flex at the toe. For a shoe to bend in half is just unacceptable. I remember Professor K giving an example of this in one AI's Reebok shoes. I miss the shoes with the Carbon Fiber Spring plate such as the zoom kobe1, huarache 2k4, huarache 2k5, jordan xi, jordan xii, jordan xix. It doesn't even have to be carbon fiber spring plate, the Zoom Flight 95 and Zoom Flight 96 had excellent rigidity and it was a plastic shank plate. Common sense says a shoe isn't suppose to bend in half. No wonder the head trainer of the Pistons banned the Nike Hyperize from being worn. Also if you noticed on the Bulls both James Johnson and Taj Gibson got plantar fasciitis from wearing the Hyperize. When that happened, James wore the Jordan retro XII which has excellent torsional rigidity. When I tried the Hyperdunk 2010 in the store, I liked everything about it except for the lack of torsional rigidity. I wish Nike would go back to putting out shoes that don't bend in half. What do you guys think of the torsional rigidity of the hyperdunk 2010? I want to get them but it seems like its plantar fasciitis waiting to happen.

So has anyone else had that problem too?

yes i have aswell on one of my kobe V's.. on one of my right shoes it seems the flywire is not sized right so it has too much room and when i stepped it would make a popping sound ever flex. i tied it up super tight and the noise went away.

you should size down or switch for another pair. either they are too big or nike quality control is sucking !%@$ again....

i have the hd10's and the Hyperfuses. both blackouts. i played in the hd's but not the hyperfuses; however i was in your exact same position but i ended up with the hd's. my first impression was 'eh', but after playing in them, they ARE amazing shoes. a huge upgrade from the first hd's. the zoom in heel and forefoot remind you of a huarache. the shoe IS a bit too high cut, but then again, you have the choice of how high you lace them. the whole skinwire thing IS a bit wierd, but you don't think abou tthat at all when you play. as far as the torsional rigidity, that won't truly matter or become serious until you start really really wearing them out. so in saying that, the hyperdunk 2010's perform at a rank of an A-. two weeks later i get my paycheck early so i decided to get the hyperfuses. AMAZING OUT OF THE BOX. i wear a sz 11.5 in both and i use the AIRR insoles. the hyperfuses are by far better feeling than the hd's. one thing that hasn't been mentioned about the hyperfuses is the insane ankle comfort it provides. a the same time, the fuses provide a proficient amount of ankle support and lockdown. the heel-toe transition is absolutely smooth, and the flexibility is combined with the sturdiness of the upper. i apologize i am not sure what the upper is entirely made out of, but the mesh sections of the shoe are just spots that give the shoe flexiblity and breathability where it is needed. if you are familiar with the new technology that nike used for the kobe v, you know that the tongue is INSANELY comfy. now imagine that throughout the entire shoe. the hyperfuses DO run a bit snug, so i recommend a HALF a size up and purchase airr insoles. the insoles are an extra 25, but the insoles are worth it in any and every shoe. the forefoot zoom unit is very responsive and large enough to make you almost feel as if you were on a full length without the heel. (if anyone recalls the post that these will remind of bb1's) the traction is outstanding and if i'm missing anything else, i apologize. btw i got my pair at finishline. the manager and workers didn't know the release date and i didn't tell them so they sold them to me for reg price, but i got dibs LOL! so in conclusion, IMO hyperfuses > hyperdunk 2010. but i'll be honest with you, YOU gotta try them on for yourself to really find which shoes you want.

ps: i AM new to niketalk, however i've been hoopin since i was little. i played 3 years of varsity ball (only d-3 tho) playing point/shooting guard. i'm 5'8 at 185 pounds of muscle and i looove to drive. these two shoes are perfect for my game, but the hyperfuses beats the hd10's.

^ damn son. damn. nice job. even though i didn't read it, but props for posting detailed stuff.
