an OG colored retro should have NIKE on them because they are a retro of an original...

all retro Plus and LS releases should have a Jumpman because they are a JB creation

At the time they prolly felt like a NIKE fit better on the back. Besides, with a shoe people were waiting so long to get a hold of, they couldn't butcher it THAT far. It was bad enough the shape was all off and the lowtops were cut wrong. Gentry was lookin' out for us on that one

This whole debate is STUPID !!!

If Nike would have started the Jordan line with the Jumpman on them Instead of the Nike Air Then switched All of you in here complaining would be saying how stupid the Nike Air looks on the back of the shoes.

Bottom line if you Don't like it Don't Buy it.

If you Buy them with the Jumpman you must like it. Quit your *****in

But when they sell the shoes its alright to market them as NIKE air jordans WHY NOT right? but they cant put nike on the shoes theyre genuises
i used to sell rocks for a pair of air jordans/but i still flip blocks for that jordan money
 
The hell is the difference the sneaker is gonna be bought anyway. Regardless if it has the nike air on the back there still not OG's so it really doesn't matter.

What's really poppin​
 
people in here might have a hard time understanding what i'm about to say. but its true.

to people that are not that into jordans. (which is probably over 80% of Jordan Brand's customers) they see a jumpman they know its a Jordan shoe and they think thats cool. They see "Nike" they are less impressed. Yes to all of us that actually know and care about Jordans retros should be replicas of OGs. But to the average kid buying a new pair of shoes he does not give a rats @#%$ how close his new shoe is to something that came out in 1991. But he will know that Jumpman = cool. In other words, if you think replacing NIKE with a Jumpman hurts sales I would hypothesize you are completely wrong, put a jumpman on a shoe and you can charge more for it, they've been doing it for years. You guys are just too caught up in this community, most average consumers are not like you, and there are a lot more of them.
 
^word. thats real. but also sad. if gentry really wanted to look out for "og collectors" like he claims hes doing hed be dropping @#%$ in original form.
