I'm still wondering why the didn't use the translucent flywire material. Oh and in terms of looks OG R4 > these.

I was in favour of seeing what flywire would look like on some retro kicks, but to me these look horrible!

i wish they would just end the shox series, but sadly they still do quite well in term of general consumerism. so nike had to upgrade somehow to keep ppl onboard. of course, for the smart people who are actually open-minded and willing to try new and BETTER things, there's always a plethora of stuff that nikehas engineered since the introduction of the shox

Not feelin that colorway at all, if they make the ones that were posted here a few months back I'll cop. I got an $80 eastbay giftcard that I need tospend.

Ha! More like one tech and infinite gimmicks (flywire now on every shoe).

Flywire can be serious application in some shoes, but this execution is a joke.

i think this shoe is gonna b sick with other colorways, not feeling this particular one though but im big on shox

why change something in a shoe that was perfectly fine nike? they dont look any lighter and would probably just cost more than the og r4's

This is just a guess, but perhaps the translucent material that the flywire is normally embedded in doesn't work with the way the forefoot midsole is overlasted, so they were forced to use synthetic leather on the uppers? I could be wrong but I THINK that most flywire shoes have external midsoles; I don't recall seeing any overlasted. Kind of makes the flywire extraneous though, they shoulda just scrapped them.
