Yessir! I always grab some when I can. Too bomb.

There seems to be a hair in/on(?) my viewfinder. At first I thought it was the lens so I cleaned the lens but it was still there. Then I figured maybe I just suck at cleaning lenses so I switched lenses. Hair or whatever was still in the same spot. Then I realized if it were the lenses then the hair would show up on my pictures. I took a couple shots of a blank white wall and the hair was nowhere to be found. I have a crappy picture of the hair in question; it was the best I could do with my phone. I don't know how well you can see it, but it's like an inverted L-shape on the rightmost focus point. Hopefully it'll help you guys help me. What should I do?

I guess it's not that big of a deal since it doesn't show up on final images, but I'd like to get rid of it anyway.

Had the same problem before, have you checked your mirror/sensor inside the camera? You could try blowing away the little hair, thats what I did. Whatever you do don't touch it with your fingers or get anything else on it.

Yeah I tried but it's still there. I probably didn't do it right but I don't trust myself doing it right now, especially since I don't have the proper tools. I'll probably head to my local camera shop tomorrow and have them do it. Anyone know how much a cleaning typically costs? I'll probably buy cleaning tools while I'm there too so I can do it on my own next time.

I had dust/small pieces of hair on my newly acquired 6D and it bugged the hellllllllll outta me.

I used a blow dryer on high for a second and it got rid of it...Not sure if that's recommended, but it worked for me.

And a proper cleaning at camulet (i think that's what it was called) was around $80-$100 when I got a price quote. Could have changed.

I managed to get the hair off with some persistent air flow from my crappy blower brush. I don't think I'll have it professionally cleaned anymore but I'll still make the trip to the shop. What DSLR/lens cleaning tools do you guys suggest?

Sorry for clogging up the thread with my incessant questions. Maybe I wouldn't ask so many if you guys weren't so helpful!

I put up a post a few pages back about having trouble focusing, and in the examples I posted it seemed like my lens might have been focusing behind the eyes / around the ears. I got some helpful suggestions about taking my aperture a few stops down, and the possibility of my lens back-focusing. I was just messing around with a friend and some shots of her. I used manual, set my aperture to 2.8, aimed for right at her nose bridge, and only shot when I saw the red dot on the viewfinder, but the focus was still on her ears. Now I fear that my lens actually does suffer from back-focusing.

Is there any way to fix this?

When you say you used manual, is that manual focusing, or manual shooting mode? Also, make sure and see if your diopter is properly calibrated. (that little clicky wheel that makes the viewfinder go blurry)

Hoodman Lens Cleanse... http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/872587-REG/Hoodman_HLC12_Lens_Cleanse_Natural_Lens.html

I ordered a pack and I fell in love with it. Two step process. One cloth is moist and cleans the lens, and the other is dry to obviously dry then lens. I was able to clean my lenses, iphone, ipad, and lens filters before throwing away a still damp cloth. Saw this on Matt Granger's youtube channel. I have a few microfiber cloths but I feel like it just spreads whatever oils are on the lens and doesnt really clean it. These hoodman wipes left everything I used them on in pristine condition.

I used both manual focus and shooting mode.

Also how would I calibrate the diopter properly? When I first bought the lens the guy who sold it to me messed around with the click wheel. I'm not exactly sure how to get it set it properly.

Thanks for the quick response.

Got you, homie. Try using auto focus and see what happens. Basically what that click wheel does is if you have glasses, it lets you use the camera without your glasses and pretty much compensates for your prescription. So regardless if you wear glasses or not, make sure it's as clear as possible.

But yeah, pretty much just set it to auto focus and focus on the eyes. See what happens then.

If that still doesn't do it, see how badly your focus issues are with this.

so I've been looking at a camera to buy for a while now and have narrowed down my choices... main thing is I want something smaller and light weight, something I can have on me all the time cuz I'm on the go alot and my choices are...

Canon Gx7
Sony Rx100
Sony Alpha 6000, I'm leaning more towards the Sony Alpha 6000 I like that is small/light weight but you can swap lenses and has alot of the features of a DSLR

please give feedback if anyone's owns any of these

Just got a t5i for christmas. Here are a few pictures I took testing everything out. Can't wait to get out and get some shots.

I know people use UV filters as protection for the lens
. What are some good brands that I can use that won't affect the quality of the picture?

For those of you guys that shoot weddings or have clients, how are you delivering images? Prints? usbs? packaging? proofs, etc.....

I know a lot of people just want digital files but I feel like they never make it past FB or IG.

I know a guy that sends a USB in a custom made wooden box.
