Griffey, Jr. & steroids?

Allergic to the gym?

I dont think he juiced at all, I consider him the best player I've ever seen play the game, but was definitely ripped.

Nobody is exempt from my personal cynicism.

Personally, I feel ALL pro athletes use PEDs that produce the amazing plays we drool over.

Didn't someone say this was a Photoshop?

If all players are using PED are they enhancing anything? If everyone uses PED doesn't that make it even... just a thought..

I think it's more of joke that the phrase, "I wouldn't be surprised if _______ was on PED's", can be used for every player in the MLB anda substantial amount of fans would agree.
This whole past two decades of records and accomplishments should just come with one giant asterik.

He would've broken the record a long time ago, don't know where you come from with this kind of stuff.

well that's probably the coolest thing i've ever seen...

And for the record, i don't believe that JR has ever touched a PED because there has never even been the smallest
of rumor or question about it. With all the media and how fast word travels and news breaks, i think we'd have known if JR
had ever been guilty of this by now.

this is a joke, may as well accuse every pro athlete of taking ped. if it's not this athlete then it's another one, no rest for the weary.

As soon as I saw OP say it wasn't a big deal that Jr was good at defense I stopped reading.

You must not have any baseball knowledge if you don't understand the value of a CF who is the best fielder in the league and hits 50+ HRs.

Oh boy, the Brian Roberts excuse

And I like how FB changed his stance on Osh in that thread. First he's as dumb as Fresh, then he's smart for defending Pujols

i always hoped junior wasnt on roids but i guess you just never know. he's been my favorite player for the past 15 years or so and prolly the most popularplayer of our generation. but i think you just never know. a-rod and manny were revealed in the past year to be on roids and i dont think there was muchevidence or suspicion that they were on the juice since they have never been that big.

look man even if he did its not a big deal,
steroids arent that serious

too many of you suckers get caught up by what the news tells you about big bad steroids and what they do to you.
they are just lying man, obviously bias against steroid use

Something else that was kind of a big deal to me (actually, it still is): Griffey's defense of Barroid Bonds back when Bonds was on the all-time HR chase.I had read in interviews and stuff where he was coming to bat for Bonds, and it just caused me to go 'Wait, what? Hmmmmm... why would he be defending Bondslike this? Could be just friendship, could be just sticking up for a fellow MLBer, but it could also be... ... ... nah, can't be that? Can it? Say itain't so, Ken.'

[Mark Jackson] You're better than that [/Mark Jackson]

I didn't change my stance on Osh. I agreed with what he said about Albert and disagreed with him what he said about Jr. Nowhere in any replies in thatthread did I say Osh was smart

IF he were using, don't you think his career would have more closely followed that of Bonds, McGuire, Sosa, Clemens, etc. (i.e. getting better whenyou're not supposed to be getting better). Griffey's career path is pretty traditional. Plus, Griffey had more raw talent than any of those guys, sowhy wouldn't he have had the same MONSTER seasons (65+ homers)?

Saying he didn't use because he didn't have any monster seasons is a little naive. It's not possible that someone could use PEDs but fail to havedeflated stats?

Not saying he did that. Just saying, it's entirely possible for someone to use PEDs and not have the same results as the next man.

i'm glad some people came out of the woodwork with some common sense

some dude on here said he talked to griffey and he siad he didn't use....so
did bonds tell you that too son
