Pastelle Clothing by Kanye West.... What Happened?

So it's been a long time for this Pastelle Clothing Line to release (it may never) and if you don't know it is being done by Kanye West.

After seeing the Nike and Louis Vuitton collaborations ( actually just the LV one ) I actually looked forward to more Kanye clothing/shoes. The only problem isthat their is barely any information on whether it will actually release to the public. I mean if Jay-Z can make a brand when we all know his style ishorrible

then Kanye should be able to as well.
It's sort of now or never because Kanye is nearing the end of his career and when he "retires" hiscelebrity status or influence won't do anything for him.

I don't think I'm the only one who appreciates his style and collaborations so I might not be the only one who is disappointed if this never releases.

What I know...

-originally slated for spring of 2006
-the first store was supposed to open up late 2009 in Chicago
- the "Good Life" music video had clothing from Pastelle

So I ask this NT, will it release? when? and would you buy it?

It would probably be over-priced and the stans would defend it by saying it's "great quality" when it's only a cotton t-shirt.


I don't mind that it isn't coming out.

UPDATE: Earlier today we posted some images from the long-rumored Pastelle by Kanye West collection. Although pieces have been seen worn by Kanye West during several public appearances (such as the 2008 AMA Awards), Pastelle will never be released. That's right. We've received official word that Pastelle will not be coming out. Ever. That said, Kanye West will release a collection under his own name in the near future. Stay tuned.

I was really looking forward to a couple of the pieces....
but at the same time I would rather him get the job done right.

I was thinking about this...if they charge $20 the re-sellers WILL sell it for $80 and they end up with more profit. Their slogan is kind of

Is their quality better than Ralph Lauren? Lacoste? Even if it was that motto is not very good for their company.
