Fire :pimp:

Haven't heard much from him before that except for some verses on Krits mix tapes. Time for me to check out what I have slept on

You listen to KRIT but not spitta?

That's some backwards underground music discovery skills famb

I'd recommend some tapes but every tape is legit. One of my favorites is Priest Andretti tho.

That NORE and styles p track is on point

Word. I was thinking "how does he know KRIT but not Spitta?"

Spitta has a ton of music to catch up on. Son has been doing this for too long :smokin

Too much to even recommend but I'd start with Smokee Robinson & Fin... to get some vintage tracks. Everything post Pilot Talk is fire. Least favorites are Priest Andretti, Live in Concert, and Bales. But every tape has at least one gem so everything is worth checking out.

Live in Concert is NUTS. If you listen through the right speakers :wow:

Covert Coupe is premier Curren$y though. Alchemist is insane

Pilot Talk 2 is his best display of lyrics, period. And the way dude starts flipping on "Montreux" is :nthat:

"Raw **** kilogram, high spinnin ceiling fan, you ain't never seen a man until you seen the man... fool"

Covert coupe
Pilot talk 2
Priest Andretti
New Jet City

Uhhh... Someone give me a 5th

Pilot talk 2 is one of his albums. Pilot talk 1 is good too. Stoned immaculate is underrated...Weekend at Bernie's is SUPER underrated

But that 5th spot should go to Verde Terrace :smokin

Verde terrace is :pimp:

Riding around with Job blasting :pimp: :pimp:

Damn no love for pre-'09 Spitta? I'd have to have a top 10/15 cause he's dropped so many . Two albums y'all should check out tho if you haven't are Jet Files and This Ain't No Mixtape, both IMO are :smokin.

yall listed tapes completely forgetting about that run of tapes he had in 08

Super Tecmo Bowl
Fast Times at Ridgemont Fly
Independence Day

THIS AINT NO MIXTAPE

Been rocking with him since his no limit days so calling that vintage is funny lol but at least start at life @ 30,000 ft

I know his style kinda changed but that **** is fuego....it'll take awhile to go through his catalog tho....he has so much music now

I remember the days I used to stalk his myspace waiting on him to drop a track :smokin

So proud of his success tho...most dudes would've faded into irrelevance when he left young money but he came out and made it work to his advantage :smokin

504 BOYZ?

I never gave them a chance because I felt like they were riding the Hot Boyz wave too tough and before that I used to mess with No Limit heavy. Hell, at that time I lived in Baton Rouge and used to see those dudes all over town and on LSU's campus playing ball in the rec.

Dude has come a long way and stayed about his grind. Props on that.

"the wind blown and changed, and I am not mad
Ol' garbage bag rappers need to find a style fast,
It's written all over ****** like a Dapper Dan,
Survived rough lands, cactus plants growin in desert sands,
Alive I stand, left for dead; though a ***** didn't die
I got highed up so I could autograph the sky...
Fool"

"Uh, with these lazy eyes I've seen
more than you could see in seven lifetimes
getchu on track
got the fresh scoop from inside
get you insight on the situation cause i done it twice
done the dotted line, tightrope walk
where the suits want results, they don't talk
dozens of songs locked away, and rotting in the vault
no one to blame, it was solely my fault
no salt thrown, just boss game loaned
right now I'm not trippin' pimpin'
you could pay me for it when you get it"

--"Flight Briefing"

Both from Pilot Talk 2 :nthat:

Trying to tell y'all.

Love Spitta but if you know some of the beats he rapped on in that mixtape run he didnt rly rap betta than the person on the original version (i.e. Flashing Lights, A Milli, Dumb it Down, Who Shot Ya) but Independence should definitely be DL'ed

That's why I don't really like mixtapes. If I know the OG version of the track, I can still hear the other person's rhymes on it subconciously. I'd rather hear original material from an MC.

Katrina Clap? :smh: Remember when Mos Def redid Nolia Clap? That **** was embarrassing even though he had good intentions.

Smokey Robinson and Return to the winner circle are fire. FIRE

But spitta really took off after Pilot Talk 1

Pre 09 spitta is always appreciated. I know this sounds petty, but I remember not really getting into him at first because his album covers were ugly  but when I did listen I slapped myself for waiting so long :smh:

^I pretty much avoided Curren$y due to his No Limit and Cash Money affiliation in their waning days. When I heard his verse from "Rather Be With U" with J.Cole & Wale, I bought Pilot Talk the very next day

I mean on songs like Modern Day Hippie, Daze of Thunder, Rollin Stank, Frost, and New Day it's tight cuz dude spitting it when the other dudes didn't really. But he should never rap over a Jay or Nas beat.
