THE OFFICIAL CURREN$Y THREAD!!! Vol. The Jet Lounge

So after several bus rides I have gone through both Pilot Talk albums multiple times. Both have outstanding tracks, but Pilot Talk 2 is simply amazing to me. The lyrics are tight, but the beats are fantastic. "Michael Knight", " Highed Up :pimp: " and "Real Estate" are my favorites

Been Tryna put my homies on to HowFly but they can't get down with it

Man that's a legendary mixtape right there with wiz, to me at least. It is also my favorite mixtape ever. I can play that mixtape from front to back and just zone out. Some of Spittas and wiz best work. I'm talking bout bars on each track they both give it there 100.
The beats are on point not one bad one.

My favorite track is Fly N* Do Fly Things, both verses are crazy. Friendly is up there to for me

Mixtape introduced me to Curren$y who's now my favorite rapper. Changed my life tbh. Before even hearing that tape I was :pimp: with Wiz and Spitta before they did a small show at my friends frat. They showed up packed in a cruddy Chevy Malibu, dry and since I had an L in my BC3s my friend who booked them came and found me took me to the room they were chillin' at in the frat house. My friend Drew who booked them is now one half of the duo Chainsmokers. Asked him how much it cost for the show and said he paid $3,000 total for BOTH of them :wow: This was back in 2009...crazy. Remember when I passed the L to them they turned me down gave me the whole "we don't smoke blunts" spiel. This must've been right around when Curren$y got Wiz hip because he wasn't having it either. After facing this L to myself for a few minutes in confusion I just ripped it in half and they unrolled, rerolled, :pimp: and thanked me. Dapped them up before the performance and that was it. Funniest part about was that I had no clue who the hell Curren$y was at that time. Just thought he was part of Wiz entourage or something.

Now the How Fly mixtape will forever remind me of that day, and in general all the good times that were had during my college years, it was my introduction to Curren$y and just such a smooth tape. Also made me stray from tobacco and start making paper planes.

My favorite track is Layover :smokin

"Digital dollars, afford flights
Where the massages will be provided
By my down *** exotic dancin' Italian goddess
The planes got it
That's why she ridin' with the pilot

Find spitta smoked out in the same crowd
Where waldo was spotted
Orange rectangle boxes in my pockets
****** on a quest like Jonny and Hadji"

I remember when I came up on spitta

Homeboy had the iPod touch y'all know when y'all flipped it to the side the album covers showed n ****

So I'm scrolling throw the album covers and I see these distinct tape covers then I we this dead guy laying down (covert coupe) click on the cover played ventilization (spell check)

Then.....I heard Scottie Pippens.....

Been a wrap ever since

I recently came up on Currensy when I heard him featured on Krits song "No Wheaties". Been in my rotation ever since

Started listening to curren$y around the time Smokee Robinson dropped. Fast forward and I'm still listening to him heavy. Only met him once at the concert he had at the masquerade in ATL a few months back. Dapped him up while he was signing my boys WC3's

Started listening to Spitta heavy the Summer before I went off to college. That was in the middle of that period when he was dropping a mixtape every month.

Never really paid too much attention to him in his No limit/Cash Money days, besides "Where the Cash at"

Your Direction :pimp: that track is a classic.

It's funny because I actually had no clue who Wiz was before How Fly, and ended up getting put on to him through that tape.

Started listening to spitta when I started drinking and smoking in 2012. I knew who he was since dedication bit always thought he was lame and a Lil Wayne shoe b like Mack Mane....

Then I got engulfed in the jetlife movement and was hooked. He really evolved as an artist. My favorite.

Pilot Talk was the first time I gave him a legit listen. Never stood out to me on Waynes stuff and I was just looking for new music. Didn't like it at first. Relistened a couple days later while :pimp: then Roasted came on. Fav rapper since...

listened to him since "my house girl" from carter 2.5 in 2006

became my favorite when he dropped "welcome to the winner's circle" in 2008. his whole mixtape collection from that time was amazing. I have not missed any music of his since those days. crazy how six years later he's still the man.

First heard Curren$y on Poppin Bottles off Dedication 2 and liked his verse and his other ones on that mixtape but I aint start paying attention to him until Independence Day dropped. Ever since then I've listened to nearly everything hes ever dropped. His style was unique, just someone being their self and not selling out into those typical rapper stereotypes. Favorite rapper ever and I dont even smoke
