What Happened to Nike SB ???

you clowns are clueless

NIKE Brand – Category Offense
• Action Sports – comprised of NIKE 6.0 and NIKE SB, is the fastest growing category within the Nike Brand. The Company anticipates doubling its current estimated $390 million business by 2015.**

Too late. Too many hypebeasts today, lack of nice looking colorways, and an over saturated market has led to the downfall. Look to pay rape prices at skateshops if retros were to come out. Unfortunately people are looking to make $ rather than liking the actual shoe itself.

Hype and re-sellers killed it imo. Trends shift also... tho I'm not really sure what the "it" sneaker brand/ style would be considered now

Now why they did motify the dunk for skaters

They did a lot of things to get it better but the fitting of the shoe is worse

I find the inner lining and pods didn't help at all with the fit

Now they feel loose, and not as snug. But maybe I just have to break them in.

Just like the Air Force 1, they got overproduced. If Nike limited them to 10 colorways or so a year, every single color would be in high demand like back in the day. Now they just flood the market with as many colors as their designers can think of.

Lately, they have been dropping a couple of decent things, such as the red supremes & the pushead 2, BUT I think that's as far as they'll get until they start retroing. Which hopefully they turn away from. Knowing nike they'll do it because of the success it will have, though.

you guys are crazy. NIKE SB is coming back hard ever since the entourage release.. maybe you guys arent keeping up. the low's and mids are flying under radar, but they are dropping some siick shoes. the brought the strap mids back.. the blue mids were fire, the obsidian lows, the levi lows, .. their spring lineup is something to be looking forward to as well.. hype is surrounding somethign else, imo perfect time to be rocking SB's because they are dropping mad clean colorways.

That part about skaters hardly ever wearing dunks is true. Some do, but not as many as are in Janos and Blazers. Does that mean Nike SB should stop? Nope. The reason nike SB "fell off" to most, is because their shoes became less themed. Till The mid blue box era, Every SB had like some sort of theme, and a nick name. Now, the only thing with themes or nick names are the QSs, which are 1x a month. I like the themes of SBs, and wish the GRs would stay like that. Personally, I think the Gold box era was pretty solid, and alotta the stuff before then was just a little funky for my personal tase, but still quite a bit of heat non the less.I really hope Nike SB will be making a comeback soon.. But only to us heads, no beasts allowed

I hope the hype stays away... So i can buy all the heat.  Anyways, yeah cats aren't skating SB's because they cost more than other kicks.  At least thats what alot cats I know that skate told me.  Why skate a 90 dollar pair of shoes when you can get a pair for 60 to chew up?

I feel that honestly....  Plus like you mentioned, cats aren't hip to Dunks anymore.  They like the boat shoe style joints, Janos and Kostons.  Kostons are mad comfortable though....

What happened Nike got obsessed with having an inspiration back story for every shoe. Kids bought the story not the shoe. Smh and kids loved the hype. Go back to the 3rd series sbs with like sharks and lodens, thats what i wanna see. Their doing more of those simple colorways now, but not with the same materials. Kids camping out for pushead 2s...when pusheads 1s were sitting on shelves for a week. All these new kids ruined it with their desire for hype, instead of a shoe. And Nike just supplied it cant hate em. It will die down eventually and the people who love the SHOES will still be here and the kids that love the hype will be gone with a closet full of garbage to sell.

Tiffanys go all day, been wanting those since i was a kid. Legendary,
I do like other sbs though:tongue::tongue:

I liked both but I think a tongue with probably about half the padding would fit better. or if they made them similar to the Pro B Co.Jps but with more padding around the foot they'd be a hit

Really? I personally know a few people who's skated Dunks before, myself included, although some of them skated regular Dunks.

I actually think NSB has been doing their thing recently. I'm going to pick up a few of the recent releases, I think. They've been putting together some really nice CWs of late. Of course, the materials aren't what they used to be, but that is the case with all of Nike's shoes.

From a skaters prospective, Nike SB is taking over skateboarding footwear. I don't think we'll see them gone anytime soon.  I swear, go to your local park, nearly all the kids skating street are wearing Janoski's and all the old guys and transition guys are wearing Vans. I agree as far as creating hype and interesting sneakers, Nike SB has been falling of the wagon. With Nike iD also, Nike pushes that more than colorways. I think that Nike SB will lean more towards core skaters, judging by the events they've sponsered recently (Tampa Am, US Open of HB). It's a shame, I was hoping to cop some interesting stuff in the next few years. Nike SB has left behind a legacy for sneakerheads though, with the Cali's and Supreme Dunks. It was a good run.
