Ha ha Bill and Teds! The 97 didn't fit me right around the ankle. The pattern was going down so the lace loops went down at the top and didn't hit me right. I didn't care for it. Add in the Scream green though and navy on the 96 and it was a clear winner for me. Loved that model!

You can see it on the picture below. They looked sloppy at the top. I had the blue ones myself.

I am really torn about copping these. My pair of neon green AM 95s that I bought 18 years ago when they were "retro'd" in 1997 just fell apart at the seems, so i need a new pair.

But, money is tight! Ugggh ...

This exactly. My favorite pair but the last retro of them was doo doo. Even the last pair of silvers didn't look quite right for some reason. Would love for them to do a proper retro of 3 or 4 OG 97 colors and then of course scream green and concord 96s. I had both but sold them cause I knew they wouldn't last long.

This looks so much better than the all smoked out sole they've been using, sans the hyperfuse 97 which uses the right one.

Same here. Had the HoA release and sold them a few months ago. They never did fit like the OGs.

For the new neons, anyone else's left insole feel like it doesn't fit flat in the shoe? I tried on 2 different 10.5 at 2 different locations and the insole where the big toe is feels like it's lifting up. When you reach in, you can tell that it's not laying flat. The right shoes were fine.

I know I said I wasn't even going to care about the quality on these but I looked down this morning and noticed the back two neon lace loops don't even match the ridges on the gradient area on my right shoe like they're supposed to. This is pretty bad "B-Grade" quality if you ask me. Picked these up at Nike Scottsdale yesterday in person and was too in a hurry to even notice then. Will probably return them to Nike once I get my NDC pairs in.

Did anyone else receive pairs with similar issues?

This 95 release atleast gives us some optimism for the 97s. EVen though nike isnt releasing butchered 97 variations like they have been of the 95, proper retros of neons and infra 90s are a good sign they will most like give the 97 its fair treatment in the not too distant future
