I think it was called "Eran" TV unit when I bought it. And it was a ***** to assemble, much more time consuming than anything I bought from Ikea. Here's how it looks with my stuff on it:

Went to BestBuy today and got a 48" Sony Bravia for my bonus room/ man cave...Can't wait for football...Now I just need to get a couch or recliner for up here
when i was buying my 65" Samsung I stood there staring at it. Then I went over to one of the guys helping me and I'm like...doesn't it seem that these TVs just aren't that big anymore. They don't feel to be these monsters. I remember like 5-6 years ago when I got my Sony 55" in my living room and it was enormous. Now I look at it like it's a 27" nothing.
Yeah it's crazy
Maybe because it's a big store like PC Richard but I just think we're desensitized to big screens these days

What's the biggest TV y'all would buy before you say, "ok, this is too much."
I have a 60" right now and I don't think I'd get anything over 70".

I have a 60" right now and I don't think I'd get anything over 70".
I'd scopp that 90 if the picture quality was up to par. Maybe in a couple years it will be, and for less than 10 grand.

I have a 50 inch that will serve me fine until my next house. Hopefully I will have a dedicated theater room then.

another $600 spent at Home Depot yesterday on light fixtures, more paint and closet stuff. Man I knew it would be expensive to move out and redo the apt but this is getting out of control. Trying to keep positive and say it'll all be worth it especially since I bought the place and not rent. But it's hard to not look at the $ that's flying out

in addition to the 70" joint, I picked up 3 other televisions yesterday. a 40" for the kitchen, 50" for the basement/man cave where I have all my video games n ****, and a 55" for my bedroom.

it's crazy isn't it...especially since I remember watching a 13 inch black and white at my great grandparents house nad the TV i grew up with till I was like 10 was 27 inches. Now I have a TV almost 3 times that size

both of those. I've had tvs of all sizes growing up. I remember for years the biggest we had was a 40" in the living room. Seemed huge at the time lol. Then upgraded that to a 65". Joint was massive. Still one of my favs. It's in my living room currently, the 70 is at my new place. Have a 46" in my basement now, a 50" in the basement at the new place.
Just did some more shopping, picked up a big computer desk, some more shelves, a clothing rack for my laundry room to hang wet clothes, and a bulletin board.

Trust me that's nothing seeing what my pops spends on his properties and these are for people he rents to is nuts. Just have to fall in love with the progress of your home that's what he tells me.

Buying an unnecessarily big TV just to show off is corny. It depends on the distance you're sitting away from the TV when watching it, otherwise it becomes pointless in terms of detail your eye captures - see red line on chart below:
My TV isn't too far away when watching it (posted pics earlier). But at 32 it is too small. The next one I buy will be between 45-50. But if you're getting a 4K TV, then those should be bigger.

Man! We had a huge storm recently, historic rainfall. Sooooooo many homes got flooded and such. Major floods don't happen too often here, so flood insurance isn't too common. Tons of people just had to take major L's. Everybody in my area has finished basements, and one of my neighbors, had some terrible, like 4' high water in her basement. Her new Samsung Curve, that she literally told me when she had gotten it like a month ago, was completely submerged...along with her son's ps4 & x1 and other toys and such. I was devastated hearing that. I'm thinking I might replace those systems for him. He's a good kid, and I know that had to kill him seeing his stuff underwater. Headed to work today, the block was completely covered with furniture and other damaged items. Couches, cabinets, end tables, tv's, etc. I felt horrible.
