Looks nice but too "designer" and not enough personal taste. But that's pretty much everything in AD

I disagree. I enjoy seeing a place completely clean without any distractions. I like to picture my stuff there. My mail on the table, my keys on the counter. I also like how the colors are put together. Gives me ideas about hard and soft materials as well.

Me and the wife want to move but the weather in L.A. is keeping us.

We're looking and can only find dumps (which is fine) BUT only in dump *** neighborhoods.

I wish we ATL real estate, hell Texas and other mid-west, south states pricing.

House Hunters keeps me

I don't know how you SoCal and even SF people do it bro. Watching HGTV on and off amazes me at real estate prices on the left coast. People wanting $500K for a dump in a mediocre neighborhood. But that weather tho...

come to Houston brother
Hows the overall weather like there?

That's the only reason. We mortgage free cause we live in my duplex but we're planning on having kids this year so I don't want to impose no crying baby on my tenants. My cousin went in with me on a house we rent to the SC kids, but he's married and wants a house so we're letting that go with an ok turn around. Not as much as I wanted but I don't have no 200k to buy him out with.

And these old houses are nothing but problems. Sewer lines back up cause of the root intrusion of city trees into old *** clay pipes. Having to deal with that times 2 makes us want to say eff it, cash out and buy something cash out there.

Excuse my rant...I'm just anxious cause that sewer line is backed up as we speak and plumber can't get here till the morning.

Basic 4 season weather. Summer can be hot though, depending on humidity. Last summer wasn't too hot though. Weather can me a mix, what I mean by mix is like one day it rains then the next day it's just sunshine weather

How stable is the coffee table? The legs look really flimsy. Thanks.

Table is very heavy, legs are made of blackened steel. They now have different variations and colors of the same table on West Elm.

Mez the richest NY NTer I know.

I moved to Houston less than a year ago. Liking it so far. Cost of living is reasonable and no state tax are a major plus. Weather is fine (for me). I actually like the heat and humidity.

I've been considering a move back to L.A. (born and raised there), but I'm big into saving. I always try to max out my 401k and keep extra in my savings. Moving back to CA would ruin all that. lol

I'm from L.A., and what is this 'save' you speak of? Never heard the word before.

Moving out of downtown Dallas famb...

Got a new gig so I'm heading to the north side of Dallas.

Seen an apartment... 915 sq ft with an attached garage. :pimp:

I think I'm just gonna start over with my furniture... Got the same stuff from college...

Might go sectional and a coffee table...

I'm good on my bed an mattress... But still might be looking.
