Footlocker/HOH in the galleria gets a lot of retro Jordans. Was there yesterday and they had the crimson 3's.  They had the royal blue ones when they came out too.  Champs and Jimmy Jazz also sometimes get them, just look at their release calendar on their websites.  not sure about family owned/local shops though.  the skate shop on the loop is pretty cool but i dont think they get any of the limited stuff.

Any NB heads in the STL? or am I the only one...

got a plug to get joints early.......but heads will be busted! lol

There are too many true sneakerheads in St. Louis not to have an annual sneaker summit of some sort.  The real question is who will organize it?!  Any takers?

Here are a few places I like

Prime Sole on West Florissant, there is a City Gear next door as well. Heard there is a DTLR out that way also.

R Sole in the Loop gets a good selection, although I haven't been impressed since their last renovation

SwedeLife is also in the loop but is a clothing shop.

The Galleria mall has a House of Hoops/FootLocker and a decent Champs as well.

Anybody else got a place they like?

Looooooong time lurker, looking to give back.

Good to see this thread thriving...follow me on IG @85dee, we need to get together for like campouts & tips on where to pick up sneakers & stuff, we gotta rep NT in the STL

Hello friends, i visit St. louis quite often but have never tried to cop kicks while in town, ill be around on a release day that ive really been looking forward to. Just curious how the scene is up there, any spots dont get as much hype or traffic as others? Not trying to wait in line or fight crowds, so just trying to see if its even worth it to try or just take my chances online. I'm spoiled with a spot down here where i can virtually walk in at any time on release day and cop so im pretty ignorant when it comes to the culture in other big cities. Any info will be appreciated. thanks.

In my recent experience release day comes with lines.  Depending on what you are looking for lines will be longer than others(obviously) and different locations will have more hype around them that others(again, obviously).

Where are you coming from?  What shoe are you waiting on?

Thanks for the response. I live in Oklahoma, Norman to be specific. Been around St. Louis all my life but never attempted to cop anything remotely hyped when I'm in town. Ill be there in August when Fire red 3s drop. It's still 3 months away but I get antsy sometimes and like I said before I'm pretty spoiled with having it pretty easy down here so just wanted to check what I may be in for if I went for it.

Champs up here give out tickets the weekend before a release, getting a ticket guarantees you get the shoe.

I believe you can still get the shoes without a ticket but am not 100% sure.

Footlockers do a raffle the weekend before and make the call on Thursday before drop date, if you don't answer your phone they move onto the next number on the list.

Realistically, I don't think many people up here pick up tickets or enter raffles. Every release there seems to be a line 4-5x longer of people waiting than the line for people with tickets(granted the ticket means you can show up anytime in a 2hr window).  I'm watching the Fire Red 3s as well.
