Nike Air Pippen 1 White/Black/Red Retro May 7th

I think I got these for $60 a couple of years ago from DTLR

Shocked they're bringing them back so quickly

With all the retros they haven't done. I wonder why they decide to retro stuff they just did within the past five years.

Only thing I can think is they already have the molds maybe.... I mean the pip 1 never really died. Just got some ugly colors lately :lol:

these are super clean and were crazy awesome when they frist released, they have since lost their luster for me for some reason. sad
 
i hope they'll release on eastbay or nbastore  in bigger size , need a 14 on them ... and have it shipped to France also !
 
Wow. The OG does make them look fake.

I wish they would truly remaster some shoes and bring back original shapes
 
I sold my OGs a while back on the bay, with one popped bubble. I guess for some who want the nostalgia and owning OGs , other than the popped one bubble it was in good shape.

I was in high school when these dropped and it took a lot of convincing my parents to buy em lol. They were so expensive compared to the other shoes at the time when they dropped.

I tried to play ball in them a few times but they were so heavy and bulky. After a while those jewels yellowed. Not sure what Nike was thinking to retro these again so soon. I don't think they were really a popular model. Even for casual wear they looked mad bulky. I did get the black/red colorway (pip wore in the playoffs) . Much better in this black IMO. the best and only colorway to own for this model.

I recall I saw pictures of pippen wearing these without an air bubble on them. I know I wasn't seeing things.

I personally love that bulky look the ALL original nike and Jordan products. However, the retro on these is horrible. The back part of the sole and midsole sticks out way too much which makes the shoe look very ugly
 
Oops, just noticed the zoom air version was brought up a few posts above me. Great minds think alike. Thanks for the link to that old thread and awesome pix. Although someone incorrectly stated in that thread that PIP wore foamposite pros...

Didn't he wear them briefly at the start of the 97-98 season? Maybe my memory is shot.
