All of MJ's shoes from this point on were essentially mid tops and of course he occasionally wore a pair of lows for certain models (XI's, XIII's)...

this pic above is the white/black-red aj2 low

that's when back in the day I couldn't wait for the all-star game, because he broke out the next model, and they were black! BC 4 made me crazy!

Quick question did the OG columbias in the ASG had a icy blue sole?

I clearly remember a blue tint to the OG Columbia's rather than the more true clear sole that the Concord's had...Though I'd be hard pressed at this point to find a DS OG pair in good enough shape to not show any fading...At any rate here are the pics I have saved on my PC just because...

This picture you can kind of see the difference in the clear sole of the Concords MJ is wearing while the Columbia's Nick Anderson is wearing has the darker blue tint...

Of course all of this is relative to the lighting in each picture...I do however distinctly remember that blue tint sole on the OG's...Also remember the clear sole of the Retro's caused me to, stupidly, pass...

I saw the og XI columbias and og XI comcords in real and both had a blue tint back then. But i remember the blue tint was a bit stronger on the columbias.
About those whiners against clear soles with blueish tint:
I have the air force 180 low black/royal-white, air zoom flight 96 white/navy-gold and air foamposite one neon royal, all ogs and they all had a blue tint when they were fresh out of the box. With all the wearings and dirt, they eventually yellowed, especially on the parts where you touch the ground.

I think there were not many nikes with translucent clear outsoles that did not have blue tint in the 1990's. Even the OG 5 and 6 had a slight blue tint but yellowed quite fast.
The first quite icy outsoles were the aj16 black/reds and DMP XI.
2000/2001 XI retros had yellow tint from the start.
But i admit that some recent retros have a stronger blue tint than in the past.

The Columbia's were absolutely more of a blue than the Concords were back when they first released, but like you said it was still close...I'd say the 2011 Concord retro's were closest to what the original color of the Columbia's were or at least in comparison to all the XI retro's at this point...Still not exact though...

I was only able to cop the Concord's and Black / Red's when they first hit but I do remember pointing out to a classmate who had the Columbia's that his sole was starting to turn green while my Concords had long since been yellow...It's all going to yellow or fade anyway so I fail to see why all these cats get all worked up over the tint...I fell into that trap with the Columbia's retro run and I still don't know what I was thinking...Never let that go...

^^^Also when I got the Original Black / Infrared VI's they already were yellowed...Thought that was the way they were supposed to look and never thought twice until way later on when I got down with this NT stuff...

Mcdonalds all american game shoes were  pro keds back then.
