They called me, and I submitted a resume. I'm pretty sure we've finished hiring for opening, but there's already rumored to be a couple spots for seasonal (i.e. Summer) hiring. That's all hearsay though, so yeah...

Drove by yesterday and saw the outside of the store. Btw, not much at the Rack.

 I'd hate to be the bearer of bad news, but we start our training tomorrow. We've got a full staff too, so I would think anything we received now would be auto-rejected or held on to for the next hiring period. That said, I would kinda keep an eye on nikebiz.com over the following couple of months between our store, NTSF, and NikeStore Emeryville to see if any openings pop up.  (This is by no means an official response by anyone at Nike, myself included, but simply an informed observation. I know this little bubble seems to be doing too much, but I'd rather have a silly-looking post than a quick way to get fired)

Trucks wont start coming in until next week. We're in the middle of training still, so we wont even get the keys to the store until Monday. :tongue:


That said, if anything hot comes up, I'll be sure to let you guys know. Under certain Nike policies, that's like one of the only things I'm still allowed to do, lol.
 
damn i miss having that Swoosh.com discount. When my cousin was working at the Nike outlet, i would be ordering things left and right off Swoosh.com
 
Nike Clearance Center essentially, so a lot of transfers and B-Grades and things of that nature, but still supposed to be getting some pretty awesome stuff. I'll update you guys when that stuff is no longer a rumor.

Also, I was able to register for Swoosh.com today. It's pretty magical, if I do say so myself...
 
Whoops, I messed up! The 13th is our actual Opening, whereas the 17th is our official grand opening, for which we have 20% off coupons!
 
So the grand opening is the 17th!? I knew my eyes weren't playing tricks on me when I saw the Nike Swoosh while driving by on 880.
 
so theres gonna be like a soft opening on the 13th and the official opening on the 17th? which day is that 20% off coupon for?
 
Do we need to do something to get a 20% coupon, or are they just going to be in-store coupons? What time is the store opening on the 13th? I may have to take some time off work.

If it's anything like the Great Mall opening, I'm sure the employees and managers will already have their merchandise either on hold or stashed away for a future purchase after the opening. And... considering there will most likely be a soft opening for friends and family, the majority if not all the good stuff will most likely be sold before the official opening...

I almost stopped to check it out last week when I passed by there too. Glad I didn't since it isn't open yet

i walked by on saturday since my girl wanted to go to nordstrom cuz of some sale goin on; and the security guard was just handing out the coupons.  from what i saw there is tons of apparel and couldnt really see the shoes
