**Official USMNT Soccer Thread**

Good story on Klinsmann from the Guardian's site (UK fish paper). If you're looking for a goo footy podcast, the Guardian's Football Daily is a great one...

Some new vids from the US' YT page.

Fan footage from the USMNT's recent visit to NYC & ESPN.

Some discussion from the players on the scoring vs Turkey.

U18 highlights vs Benfica. Gotta say these younger teams have been playing very well vs world competition the last 1 1/2 or so. Very encouraged by what I've seen. As a long time follower, I can honestly see some things changing that I've never seen before. This new generation of players (on a national level) are much more technical than previous generations.

The USMNT may not advance too far during this WC, but I think it's important that we fare well in an effort to help bolster the growth of the sport here. I honestly think the team will in fact fare well. Very glad to see a fresh group of new guys & a coach that actually seems to know what he's doing. Not just with the team, but the whole program.

As technical directory, Klinsmann is very involved from a senior management perspective. He's helping to shape the entire program. There was a redesign of the program started in 2010 or so with the help of some money from Nike. I don't think he's with the team day to day but he gets in there when he can. Below are some vids showing such visiting to the younger team.

We need to drop Bradley deeper into the pivot alongside Jones. Get Beckerman off. And get Deuce back in the #10 role

Jozy da gawd

Isnt nigeria known for fixing? That defender littterally pulled up when he easily coulda cleared the ball

their defense is playing much better with Beckerman alongside Jones though

frees Bradley up to play further up the field...they've played pretty well on the counter so far
