DaMarcus Beasley joins Puebla


MEXICO CITY -- United States forward DaMarcus Beasley has joined Mexican club Puebla.

The team confirmed Beasley's signing on its Twitter feed Wednesday.

The 29-year-old American is coming off a season with German club Hannover 96 in which he saw little action. He also has played with Glasgow Rangers, Manchester City, PSV Eindhoven and the Chicago Fire.

Beasley has played almost a decade on the U.S. national team and was on the United States' 23-man roster for the 2010 World Cup, making one brief appearance. He also is a veteran of the 2002 and 2006 World Cups.

We cant afford to have him coming off the bench. I think that super sub role should be Freddys for the game. I  am thinking this is the lineup that Bradley starts:

i was talking to a few mexican fans saying that they rather play with conmebol  instead of the concacaf.

these guys struggle against central american teams during the qualifiers and they wanna play with a confederation that will kill them

Didn't know we fielded the same weak team as in 2009.

Tired of  fans bringing up that game. Last meaningful game was at the Azteca in 2009, and El Tri won 2-1.

i was talking to a few mexican fans saying that they rather play with conmebol  instead of the concacaf.

Add me to the list. Having both the US and Mexico leave to the conmebol.

Won't happen, too much $$$$ will be lost.

Quick break from all the GC talk, Joseph Gyau is ballin out for Hoffenheim. He started the season with the first team and has already impressed.

Kid is about to have a break out year, a first cap is likely immediately fallowing the Gold Cup.

feeling the same over here... I do agree that ya are playing better, and guardado scares me the most...when de nigris comes in, imma be sweating.

I we can cut the service to chicharo, then i KNOW we are going to beat them..Dolo and Lichaj should be up to the task to contain guardado,dos santos, barrera..
