That was a gorgeous goal. The initial pass to Donovan was perfect, his touch past the goalie was fluid, and the fact that he squared it instead of taking a tough shot was impressive.
 
US played a pretty good second half.. they still missed a TON of opportunities though. a good team would have taken advantage.
 
Ricardo Clark should not be starting! Please put Torres or even Feilhaber in there with little Bradley.
Bradley/Clark/Edu need somebody out there with them that has some sort of skill on the ball to make
things work.
 
Better second half. Torres was a beast and so was Fidley. I can see what he brings to the table. Speed and some passing with the ball. Bornstein almost killed us again. Dude should not see the pitch in SA.

we are better off playing a forward instead of demps being in the forward position.

now findley did impress me but he dissapeared trough out the 2nd half. robo bob should play herculez and buddle  to see what effectiveness they have.
 
We actually look like a pretty decent squad for once. Obviously winning the World Cup is a long shot but I think we will finally be able to make a little noise this time around.

Also, anyone know why Buddle isnt on EA's Fifa World Cup game, or have I just over looked him?

No he's not in the game originally but he should be in the update whenever they do it.
 
So glad we were able to get Torres in the fold. If he's any sort of revelation within the next couple weeks I'm going to feel a lot more excited about our young, developing talent.
 
Torres is our future Landon. He is still young, but you can see the no#10 skills he has. Altidore is only 20 and already a starter on the team. He is a guy that also just going to get better as he develop a better understanding of the game. I don't even want to bring up the future we have in the under-20 teams. Here is a short list:

Luis Gil ( possibly another no#10 in the making)

Charles Ranken

Joseph Gyau

Michael Hoyos (plays at Estudiantes down in the Argentine first division)

Stefan Jerome

Felix Garcia ( Dude is a stud no#9 Goal scoring machine. Was drafted by the Dynamo, but still plays at his Laredo club in the PDL)


There a ton more, but dont have time to mention them all. Our USMNT has a bright future. Only a matter of time, before we win a WC. Maybe this year.

Off-topic. Just got into Mazatlan last night, and woke up mad early for this event they were having at cousin College. Needless to say the cuties here off-the hook. Here is a sample of the beauty. SOCALUIS And MARION, you guys already know the deal

Besides Landon and maybe a few others, it just looks like the USMNT does not have the mental capacity to compete in SA.

that the one of the main reasons we are still in the games, foreign coaches praise that about American players.
