No doubt. But I think athletically the US is there ready to start being a force.

Smh we got robbed a penalty kick

Great 2nd half though

When Dempsey & Jozy get back

Ricardo Clark tho

Castillo was terrible but it could  be nervousness and he made less mistakes as the game went on. I don't think he is as bad as Bornstein.

Bradley should not be in the starting lineup or on the team at all. Dude just runs around all confused doing nothing. I think he is probably the main reason why the offense is so stagnant at times.

Wow I am impressed by duke. He's got skills and size. We need to see more of him on the team. Whats new with Torrado's play. Dirty play and it deserved a red. Donovan again with a good game. One thing I notice is Agudelo has the  tools to be a great no#9. He needs to keep at it, and hopefully the kid  can polish his skills to be a great striker.

Not a bad result considering the situation. I have come to believe that no matter what the situation or moments both teams go thru, We always play Mexico hard, the way we should.

P.S I was impressed with the US support in Philly. Crown was 50% 50% which I have not seen for a Mexico game in a long time. Big ups to the city of brotherly love

C'mon man, that's not true. I was quick to say that it was more than a coincidence that when he was subbed off, we scored. But he was also playing out of position. He's plays well at the defensive mid position, a conduit from our back 4 to our attacking mids. Should he start? The verdict's still out on that, we still need to see Edu play that role. It's always been said that Mike, Mo, and JJ are all the same player, it's just a matter of which 2 are going to play that position if Jurgen keeps the same formation.

He'll def be on the team though, so you should get over that now. Sorry.

michael bradley should be playing. just not as a CAM. anyone who thinks differently is nuts.

^ he's gotta play club football though... jones and edu could easily rule him out of a line-up if he isn't playing regularly IMO... Plus Stuart Holden can add another midfield dynamic that we don't have now

Shea and rogers great play plus couple of bad calls probably would have won this friendly match. Still a friendly only

Bradley does deserve to be on the field the question is where. Dude lack tecnical skills, but makes it up with heart and desire. I think Klinsy needs to find a position for him on the field. As a starter? That is the  question.

Why the @$%* was Agudelo wearing 18.... Had me looking real stupid in my red #9 Agudelo jersey

2nd half was clearly way better. Donovan should have started in the middle from the start, he was much more dangerous there, probably would have been a different game.

Overall good game. Next up, Costa Rica on Sept. 2nd.

Gonzalez DOES deserve to make the September friendlies though.

Bradley at CAM made no sense at all. He doesn't have the skills for it and he kept
dropping deep taking up both Jones and Beckerman's space in the midfield, along
with leaving Buddle even more alone up front.

It was only a friendly but I would give Beckerman another chance? I don't watch
the MLS much but he seemed to be much more comfortable with the ball than Bradley
does in the holding cm role.

Beckerman is a good player. Not 1st team quality at this level but he'll continue to be more than serviceable throughout qualifying.

I think we can all agree that Castillo is NOT where it's at. I wasn't really high on dude before, but now I'm 100% sure he shouldn't be on the squad.
