**Official USMNT Soccer Thread**

it was a kick in the gut, but let's look at the positives. we played pretty damn well. came from behind to tie and take the lead. we didn't finish it off, but we STILL control our own destiny. let's keep this going forward and keep building off each performance. let's get a point or three versus Germany :pimp:

Man I lost $100 on a last second play.

I'm sick forever man.
No offence, but screw your $100. We USA fans lost a lot more on that last play

Agreed with a couple posts above though. We can still get through. Let's shock the world.

I was so disappointed today brahs.

USA was 30 seconds from a clear victory. I was getting frustrated with the USA squad, its like they completely took the foot off the pedal on stoppage times. They didn't even try to keep possession at all. Making silly passes that were easily intercepted by Portugal. I couldn't believe it. 90 mins of suspense and they just started to take it easy on the last minutes! wow! It was so crazy because the midfield was making silly mistakes since stoppage time. Yedlin was out on the wings and no one was running in the middle or with him. Portugal wasn't even trying brah's. Those last minutes if USA was gonna still press like they were with Yedlin, the attack should have been up there with him. Yedlin passed it back to bradley and BRADLEY WENT FULL BUM status and let the ball go past him! He didn't even try to go after the portuguese player. WOW.

So mad about that.

The pass from Ronaldo was nice though :smokin

Still in shock myself. Heavy denial. Was really looking forward to a drama-less thursday and resting our guys.

i would like to sincerely apologize for doubting Jones place in the XI

probably been our best player

and ill be damned if theres a player in this entire cup with an engine quite like his

I'm not gonna act like a know soccer like that. I only been watching it consistently for 2 years. Do you guys see Klinsman putting in the young kid Green on the pitch next game?

I was at ESPN Zone watching the game, so packed. We celebrated every goal and especially the second one..... and last 10 seconds Varela ******* scores.... it was SOOO quiet after that... smh... i still cant get over it right now.

I was they too bro; that tying goal was left speechless! Where you in the bar area?

US-GERMANY was at +150 for the draw, I saw which is the lowest so far. We are ok. Ghana gave them trouble, it sucks were comin from the amazon on a day less of rest but we honestly just have to hold them for 45mins I'm betting. After the half or once the teams get some results from staff on the Ghana Portugal match; the second half will be both teams not trying to take a chance and get stretched on the counter. If a goal comes off a set piece? So be it. Nate silver has us at 75% odds to go through. There are so many more ways we advance than go home fellas.

I'm onl mad this game is at 12 am not 4pm [emoji]128553[/emoji][emoji]128553[/emoji]. I'm feeling confident that we make it through off a draw. Ghana and Portugal have to really be sweating (well really only Ghana ). Yeah that goal was awful for on many levels, but we still control our own destiny.

Also, looking at that graphic above...why the hell is total goals scored the second tie breaker over head to head? That's more backwards to me than anything.

No words to described what happen. Bradley, Johnson, Cameron f**cked up at the end. I think overall we played very well. Jones was great again and Howard made a couple of great saves like he normally does. Germany will be hard, but I think Klinsy will have these guys ready for that game. Don't get discouraged fellas, This is the WC. Anything can happen. Look at how the tournament has progressed with all the surprises. I think we can beat Belgium after and from there who knows.

As an El Tri supporter I tip my sombrero to you guys. Definitely exceeded my expectations. Very athletic team with high work-rate and I was surprised with the quality of shots taken. JJ's cracker left me speechless. I woke up 2-3 times in the middle of the night thinking about that game. I know you all have been pinpointing and breaking it down but sometimes I believe that's just the way football goes. Giving the ball away 50 yards away from goal to have it go to the best player in the world on the wing for a peach of a cross... you just have to let it be sometimes.

I hope you will send us good vibes today vs Croatia. We in this together now.
