Question: I'm about to be in LA for the USA game, where should I go to watch it? Any big viewing parties? I would love to go to a huge event with a bunch of fellow Patriots.

Asides from that, any dope spots to catch other games for the rest of the WC? Perhaps Brazilian themed?

hes listed day to day.. on friday hes gonna take a fitness test to see if he could play saturday.

I was hoping someone would comment on the Pirlo/Maestroni issue. 

I remember at the time EVERYONE in the WC thread was raging mad about that red card, and even then I thought it was unquestionably a straight red. I remember typing IT WAS A STUDS UP TWO FOOTED TACKLE FROM BEHIND INTO HIS ANKLES! 

 

I remember that Italy/USA thread like it happened yesterday. We had dudes who openly admitted they knew nothing about soccer (23ska

) complain about that red card and accuse the refs of anti-American bias. It was a freakin' two footed reckless tackle and you had causal fans complaining about the referee's decision

I also remember telling U.S. fans before the tournament that Ghana would finish 2nd and would beat the U.S. Not surprisingly, NT fans complained about the refs after Ghana beat them 2-1

No need to despair NT's U.S. soccer fans, I tip the Yankees to advance out of their group and finish 2nd. I think they'll lose to England but get 4-6 pts against Slovenia and Algeria. 4 pts should be enough to finish 2nd in this group. After that the Germans are gonna lay a whoopin on that *+@

1. Reyna makes that shot in the 1st half that hits the pole, and we get a point out of that game. I know, I know, you can play the "if" game all day.

2. Reckless challenge true. Red card? I dunno....there were some pretty rough tackles that match, some got yellows...the others - nothing.

3. That foul against Gooch happened RIGHT BEFORE the 1/2. And only a few minutes away from us equalizing. Be honest w/ yourself, you know that was an absolute atrocious call.
