**Official USMNT Soccer Thread**

Sorry I couldn't keep you company rck! Was doing stuff around the house while watching the game so I couldn't post while watching (cleaning up after dinner, tidying up, making my son's lunch, etc)...

One has to consider that Klinsmann is experimenting with different line-ups/players & such. Would've rather had the win of course but I'll take a draw over a loss. Still not beaten at home for the last 18-19 games s far.

Rimando didn't have the best outing. Very sloppy at times. Besler was ok in the back, kept a clean sheet while he was on but I saw him grabbing his hammy again. Timmy C didn't play well at all nor did Yedlin. Jermaine Jones played pretty well as a CB.

It looked like Klinsmann had Mix playing at the "bottom of the midfield diamond" which is something he isn't used to. I thought he did ok considering & has become a very consistent player for the US. I actually even liked seeing him make that tackle & get a yellow card for it.... We haven't seen that "enforcer" side of his play. :smokin

I liked what I saw from Bedoya too...

Had a blast at my first time at a soccer match and had great seats. I felt like we played ****** on the second half and the young gawd Green got no playing time :smh: and also felt Jones wasn't comfortable at the position he was playing.

very nice. im pretty sure green is hurt btw

Nice pics up there...

Yes, Julian Green is nursing some type of injury to his ribs & was sent back to Hamburg at the start of camp last month.

Don't sweat it PSK, seems like nobody watched the game on TV or at the stadium; the turnout at that game was disappointing, pretty much as bad as when the US played at Candlestick for the WC warmups (sorry, no shots @SonOfTony)

Hell, I didn't even get home in time to watch the first 20 minutes and missed Jozy's goal.

Mix at the 6 went as I kind of thought it would, he's always seemed like a pretty complete player that could comfortably move around the pitch .... but clearly Mix thrives in the final 3rd as a 10.

Assuming Jones, Dempsey, Zusi are out by 2018, I would like to see Mix playing further up field at the top of the diamond/pentagon(?) if we have Jozy as lone forward and maybe throwing in one of the young guns to with with Bradley (Morales, Hyndman,).

Bedoya can hold down the RM.

Green, Gyau, Fabian (Vogt won't let this happen

) can fight over the left side of the field even if we are set at the fullbacks with Garza, Chandler, Yedlin, Camero...

I was hoping that Ibarra would get more playing time last night. Maybe Klinsmann will get him in more...

I agree that the turnout sucked unfortunately. I honestly was coming in the stadium expecting a packed house. No offense taken rck3sactown rck3sactown , I'm just glad I saw the team live.

One of my close friends plays with Ibarra in Minnesota, and I covered him quite a bit when he was at UCI. He was the best player in a very good Big West, but Idk if he has what it takes to make this next jump to the NT.

Would love to seem him in there.

new crest is great news... should have just kept the centennial one :smokin

So apparently Wolverhampton passed on Agudelo due to lack of match fitness.......

welp that makes things about 10x worse than not being able to obtain a workers permit

also, I'm very glad I went with the tattoo I went with rather than foolishly getting either the current or centennial crest done

Wow, amazed to see Lee Nguyen finally get called up, he's definitely been doing work for New England.

Nguyen is legit. Probably the most technical player in the pool.

I really really wanna see Rubin get minutes.

for once in my life, I want to see the full squad play

it'll be interesting to see how Jurgen divvies up the minutes between all the fullbacks...

I still want to see Jurgen experiment with Chandler/Johnson back there, but who knows what that backline will look like.
