His progress thus far has been incredible. I see I completely left him off my list. I would add him to "on the bubble."

He's currently back w/ his club in France training.

Can anyone confirm that Altidore will be wearing #17 for the World Cup? Im about to order a jersey but I dont want to put the wrong number.

Doest the U.S. have a friendly against the Netherlands coming up soon or am I trippin?

checking in

Headinginto this week's friendly against the Dutch, the US national team hasseen more than its share of injuries that has decimated is roster offirst-choice canidates.

Over the past several months, regulars Steve Cherundolo, CharlieDavies, Benny Feilhaber, Ricardo Clark, and Clint Dempsey have allworked towards the goal of making their way back from various injuries.

Today, USA fans received a bit of good news as AC Milan's centraldefender Oguchi Onyewu worked out with the US national team inAmsterdam.

US media were not allowed to interview Onyewu at today's practice butthe defender was seen jogging with midfielder Jose Francisco Torres atthe start of the session. He also went on to take part in a few drillswith the team.

The 6-4 Onyewu has been out of action since October 11th when hesuffered a torn patellar tendon in his left knee during the USA's finalWorld Cup Qualifier against Costa Rica.

While the massive defender won't play versus the Dutch, it is certainlya sign that he his close to making his way back for the Stars andStripes

Good news.

I know Guchi mayne has been working out with the nats since a week and a half ago.

I want klejstan NO where near the World Cup roster.

B.Feilhaber might miss the summer because he is back in brazil with an ankle injury.

IF everyone is healthy this is my starting 11.

-------------Charlie------Jozy-------

Landon----J.Jones----M.Bradley-----Clint

Bocanegra-Gooch----Demerit------Spector

I would like to see Spector as LB and Dolo as RB, but I dont see how the captain is not starting.

Um, Jones is most likely NOT making the roster and I'd be surprised if we played with 2 forwards. A 4-5-1 seems our likely formation. The real question is do we keep both Landon and Dempsey on the wings or have one float behind Jozy?

I'm sorry but Sacha punched his ticket vs. El Salvador.

J. Jones isn't healthy, hasn't even trained w/ the team, yet you have him starting? He'll be watching the WC this year just like you and I....on TV.

Float Demps behind is what I would do personally. He ends up drifting up as the game progresses anyway. That's similar to the role he plays with Fuhlam and he can put the ball in the back of the net, something we have trouble doing.

can someone educate me on what maurice edu/ricardo clark have been up to?

Ricardo has been injured...he plays in the Bundesliga

Mo Edu just scored the game winner vs. Celtic. Probably the biggest goal in his life.

thats why I said IF everyone is healthy.

klejstan didnt do a damn thing except for the last second goal which was given to him.

I see Bob sticking with the 4-4-2-, judging by our past experiences with trying a new formation.

Checkin in early

Yup gotta float Demps. He's got a way of continuing to make goals when others have difficulty. Also, imma assume Clark and Beasley make the squad.

Donovan, Dempsey, Bradley, Edu, Holden, Beasley, Clark, Torres, Feilhaber

with those players playing mf, I dont see how klejstan makes it..also if Beasley starts getting some games, he goes in before klejstans.

Ricardo Clark had been injured and made the game day squad this past weekend but did not play.

Edu should start wednesday.

Is Benny gonna be healthy?

Sacha made a great claim that last match. Yes his score was a gift, but to say he didn't play well the entire match is false. He held down our midfield.

Robbie Rogers? out?
Freddy Adu? out too?

How does Mo Edu start w/ Michael Bradley? Do they not play the same position? If they do I guess we're playing bob's fielding 2 defensive mids

This will be less of a disappointment than US Hockey since US Hockey at least had a legit short at winning the tourney

Anybody going to SA? What about an NT SA summit... we can get cheaper tickets/hotels if we bundle

Even though I support Spain unconditionally, and Mexico(birth place) casually, I have recently began to become more passionate for the USNMT... Ive lived 95% of my life in this country and I just feel right when I cheer for the USNMT. GO USA!!!

Checking in fellas. Cant wait for WED against the dutch.

For the love of god, ROBOBOB NO SACHA in the final roster.

Where are the NT US MNT members REGULARS? SOCALUIS, ACE, CRAFTSY,AMARUGEAR?

USA BABY!

I actually want to see Adu getting more games for aris and make this squad.

He brings something different to the USMNT, but it seems Bradley Sr. Doesnt like his game.

Sacha had two bad misses in the first half (credit to him for making good runs to get into position though).  Then he disappeared for the whole second half before the score.  I'm not sold on him at all.
I'd love to see Adu make the team as a sub if he can stay in good form with his club.

Don't think Perkins is a lock for the #3, seems like Hanhemann has moved ahead with his club play.

Bob has always played with 2 holding mids. He'd like to play Bradley with Edu, as both have the ability to get forward, especially with how we thrive off of countering. I think Benny gets the nod as our A mid. There's nothing about that diamond in the middle of the pitch that thrills me bit it's all we've got at this point.

Stu is gonna be a wild card for us. I talked to him last week and he's super excited for SA. His confidence is soaring and has a shot at maybe cracking the starting XI.

Talked to Charlie too and he honestly believes he'll be ready to go. I'm hesitant cause I've seen broken femurs before and it's solo difficult to be 100% in less than a year of rehab.

^^^I agree. I want to see Adu, Torres, and even berdoya make it. Adu has the flair and game to shine, but he needs to put it together.
