**Official USMNT Soccer Thread**

At the end of the day, in Jurgen we trust..... I suppose.

At the beginning of his tenure, we were grumbling at the call ups and tactics he had; and it seemed to work out in the long run.

He has yet to steer us wrong yet, lets hope he keeps it that way.

So let me guess this straight. Mexico is taking the 90yr old Rafa Marquez to anchor the defense but we cant take Donovan to sit on the bench and sub in/mentor

Lol yes let's model our NT after Mexico's. Because they're doing so well.

Jurgen is establishing a standard. It may sting in the short term but in the long run we'll be better off

You just dont cut our countrys greatest player when hes better than most of team! Its dumb and im not even a huge landon fan. He is US soccer and i understand hes 33 but like i said, i trust him more than anyone to make a big play when it matters. Im pissed

he put himself in the hole when he took that sabbatical last year

You all should jump on the argentina bandwagon... There are still some standing room only seats.
Why should we root for another national team, if we haven't even stepped foot in that country or weren't even born/from there

Seriously though....... Jurgen bringing these young dudes, makes it feel like he's just looking for a built-in excuse if we get our ***** stomped out next month

onto Russia 18 I suppose.

So wild. Landon and I go back since '98 playing against each other and he's always been the face of US soccer.

Just doesn't feel right and I'm not sure I understand JK's motives here. It almost feels personal at this point and think it'll come back to burn him.

I have absolutely no faith in our midfield from a creative standpoint in the last third of the field without LD.

Def. seems personal. That's what grant wahl has been saying for a while now.

I don't know how to feel right now
I'm Hurt. Angry. Sad. Disappointed. Vexed. Confused.

I'm sure I'll get over it but I just can't make sense of it right now.
that sums it up pretty well.

I just don't get how Jurgen can justify leaving him off..... unless Landon really looked that  bad in training, or his fitness fell off a cliff, or mentally you could tell he just wasn't in it.... and it would have to be an extreme of one of those things for Jurgen to be able to really justify the decision.

I'm already getting over it, just very perplexed by such a bold move.

Precisely and well said.

I'm glad yall at least see Landon wasn't in it all the way......no matter his history, why would you bring that around when you're trying to build something special for the future?

w/ or w/o landon its gonna be tough to get out our group anyway
