I continue to rewatch that play thinking it'll change [emoji]128514[/emoji][emoji]128514[/emoji]. We should still be fine though

Were ok bruhs....we outplayed Portugal heavily aside from the 5th min and the 95th  smh Löw and Klinsmann are boys, and Germany stole our tournament in South Korea in 02 with that handbal. And we have karma from not quitting against panama and singlehandedly allowing Mexico to even participate in this World Cup.

That's why the draw hurts so much, cause we were clearly the better team. Yea we can still advance but this would've been a huge confidence builder

I was at ESPN Zone watching the game, so packed. We celebrated every goal and especially the second one..... and last 10 seconds Varela ******* scores.... it was SOOO quiet after that... smh... i still cant get over it right now.

I see some of the pundits are grading Geoff Cameron low for not only the Nani goal but the Varela goal too.

In my professional life part of my job is root cause analysis & I'd put the blame on Beasley. He had Ronaldo on the wing & didn't close space & allowed the cross.

As a defender, you should be close enough to put your hand on the opposing player while staying compact as not to let the player create or shoot. Beasley laid too far off Ronaldo.

I'd also argue that omar should have slid over to double team because the one of the top 2 best players in the world had the ball at his feat in the closing minutes of the game.

Not sure how the Germany game will turn out because they're playing better than I expected. Should be exciting though.

Very impressed with Yedlin when he came on. The kid was very aware of what he was supposed to be doing when he came on.

Im not sure how Jurgen will feel about playing against his motherland.

I think on Episode 1 or 2 to Road to Brazil, he was at Berlin and the reporter asked him how U.S will do against Germany and he said USA wont beat Germany.

Low was his protege so he should have a leg up on him tactically or at least understand what Low wants to do. Based solely on talent, no the US can't beat Germany but if the US played smart tactically & commited to not making mistakes like the Varela goal in the closing minutes we "might could" have a shot at doing something...

Watched the game at a local brewery and it was crazy how quiet it got when that dude scored at the end. I walked my *** yo my car in silence and disbelief. Did we really just give Varela who straight sucks a chance to beat us in the 95th minute? Did we really just put the spotlight back on Ronaldo who had an awful game? I'm still in shock at what happened :frown:

It wasn't really Omars fault but I got the worst feeling when I saw him come on. I told my buddy at the time we shouldn't mess with the defense so late because they were solid all that time. I instantly flash backed to our Nigeria friendly and sure enough....

Bradley, you just had to boot that anywhere :frown:

Beasley, just tackle Ronaldo. Tactical foul.

Such a solid, good performance overshadowed by that. You could hear crickets at the bar we were at when that went in. Soccer is cruel.
