It's sad to see that the US hasn't learned any lessons from the WC, because they still clearly don't give a %$!$ about possession.
Their entire offensive strategy is predicated upon counterattacking. As soon as the ball is theirs, they're rushing up the pitch at 100 mph, invariably ceding possession within 5 passes or 15 seconds, whichever comes first. The verb "build" appears to be absent from the team's vocabulary. Rather than making other teams work to get the ball back, it's given away carelessly and then they're back to chasing on defense, getting more tired and pulled out of position.
Altidore needs to man up and be stronger on the ball.
Why Findley continues to get a look is beyond me.

‘Bob Bradley’s future with the United States men’s national soccer team could soon be finalized with discussions between the head coach and U.S. Soccer president Sunil Gulati set to begin early next week, according to a team source.’

‘Bradley’s position has been unclear ever since the U.S. was knocked out of the World Cup and his current contract will expire in December. However, the fact that the 52-year-old and Gulati are preparing for talks indicates that the federation is keen to give Bradley another four years at the helm instead of hiring a high-profile foreign manager such as Juergen Klinsmann.
It is expected that Bradley and Gulati will first be involved in one-on-one talks. Bradley’s representative Ron Waxman then will join the discussion once financial details need to be negotiated.
A renewed partnership seems to make sense for both parties, despite the reservations some USA fans have over Bradley’s tactics and selections. U.S. Soccer knows what it is getting with Bradley – a coach who is popular with his players and knows what makes them tick.’

I dont undertsand why Sunil will just bring in Jurgen.
Bob already had his shot in the World Cup.
What bothers me about Bob is the fact that he just plays favorites.

I must say the Brazil game was mad ugly. I know it was just a friendly, but still what is ROBOBOB thinking? seriously?
I am sorry to say, but with this guy as the coach, we are going nowhere. If stupid Gulati gives duke another 4 year contract, I am going to be mad pissed......
Bob needs to understand that his faves like sacha,findley and borstein are not cutting it on the USMNT. He needs to stop bringing this guys in and bring guys that are worthy to be on the NT.
Michael, do you want to know why they dont give the job to Jurgen? simple CONTROL over the program. I think he requested that last time, and Gulati said no, so Jurgen did not take the job.
Gulati needs to understand the USMNT follower is not happy just making it to the WC. We have EXPECTATIONS of the NT. I want to make it to at least quarterfinals in tournaments, and not just reach second rounds and call it a day. I don't want a coach that brings in only his favorites players, instead of players that deserve a shot.
I live and die with this team, more then with any other team in any other sport, so I want it to succeed to the capabilities that I know we have.

ESPN just reported Bradley got an extension through the next WC. Only 8 years until we have a legit chance to win the Cup

there's so much wrong w/ this....
and don't get me wrong I love Bob, he was great, but it was time to move forward.....he played Rico Clark over Mo Edu for goodness sakes. Robbie Findley over a red-hot Edson Buddle or Gomez. These are fundamental lapses in coaching prowess. Yes, he had us performing at a level where we weren't scared of anyone. Yes, we performed well in major tourneys...but damn man. How good could we be if we find someone who will put the right 11 on the pitch.

I am lost for words right now? Really Sunil? another 4 years of reaching the 2nd round? have we not learn from the past to have a better future? Dont get me wrong, I dont dislike Bradley personally, but his coaching tactics make you wonder sometimes. Another 4 years of his kids making the squad? SASHA, JB, RF? Another 4 years of going thru the process and progressing? Was Jurgen that expensive that we could not bring him on board? or what it the control part that you dislike Sunil? Amazing man, really I don't get it. Do we want to a soccer power or is it all about the money? or control? or you just being a complete a**? Please Sunil let me know. I really want to know what made you hire BOB another 4 years? I will always be behind the NT, but you my friend are a complete idiot. Sorry NT for my harsh words, but I had to vent after this crap. Guys what are your thoughts on this? I really want to know.
