**Official USMNT Soccer Thread**

too many prisoners of the moment... the only conclusive findings we have after this tourney is Bornstein is hot garbage and needs to go... not sit, go... we could use that roster spot

he WAS at least serviceable until now

and Bradley saved his job by getting to the final but put himself right back in hot water with that showing

what happened? how'd you guys get out of there without being arrested?

man idk how i DIDNT get into a fight before the end of the game. some dude grabbed my homies flag and through it on the floor during the anthem. i tried my hardest to reach em and whoop his %#$ there but all the other mexican fans held me n my homies back n made that guy chill out.

*mind you my homies a vet in the military and lost his arm (damn near his life) in iraq. this punk %#$ mexican did this to someone with one arm
indifferent.gif
@#!@ pissed me off man.

then this same dude proceeds to throw a beer at my girl after us scored 2nd goal. I WAS LIVID but once again couldn't reach em due to everyone separating us (literally like 10 ppl) and i remember his family beggin me not to do anything to his em cuz he was drunk. i made up my mind that i was gonna catch em after the game but then i calmed down by half time n they all started kissing our $!$@$ the rest of the game so i kinda just cooled off n let it all go since i brought my girl.

So after the game when were outside chilin in the parking lot some dudes come up in front of our bbq and start sayin "%!#+ usa" n all this other nonsense n my homie (951guero) gets in dudes face. long story short turned into a rumble in the parking lot cuz they try to jump some dude we were with but ALL them %*%@*+ got they $!$@$ beat
laugh.gif
. I took out my frustration of the loss on one of the guys face (no ayo) while guero knocked down the guy who instigated everything and went ham on his face for like a minute straight
laugh.gif
. he was helpless taking punch after punch to the face until someones grandma begged em to stop. all i remember is them picking homeboy up and all of them walking away without saying a word. i had to cheap shot one of them dudes too cause he was bout to hit one my of homies with a glass bottle smh. also somehow one of their pops got in and started throwing blows so i had to give him one to the jaw n then he fell to floor. kinda feel bad about that one but they all started it and wanted to fight so whatever. crazy not one of us had a scratch on us n honestly they're lucky my homie that came back from iraq got lost after the game n wasn't with us cuz he probly woulda killed one of them even with one arm. dude is crazy n definitely bout that life.

its just sad all these ppl live here, benefit from the country n go off n say/do @#!@ like this. pisses me off. it's definitely more than soccer to a lot of mexican fans. %*%@*+ really hate usa for what it stands for and nothing else. when i was in azteca i saw/heard the same @#!@ but hey, we were in their country so they can feel and say however they want. when you're here you should at least have some respect for the country imo.

Hey, yall.......... I've been MIA since thursday. I was in Vegas

bad news is I sold my Rose Bowl tix.

good news is I went to the EDC.

Caught the game at the ESPN Zone. Me and my homeboy were the only USA Fans there

But all the Mexicans there were pretty cool save for a few. I really wanted to just straight go HAM on someone that night........ but ended up just getting really drunk at the EDC. Wore my USA jersey everywhere the rest of the night, and started a USA chant at the EDC since there were no Mexicans there
laugh.gif

I really have no insight to the game... I started drinking at 10 that morning. I just remember me being nervous as hell still after the 2nd goal. I knew the D would be the deciding let down

I'ma try and watch the game again tmrw..........

I said it after the Paraguay friendly, and I'll re-quote myself for emphasis.

Completely to blame for Mexico's first goal, and his only positive contribution was one, maybe two, decent crosses.

It's Bradley's fault for putting him on in the first place, especially at the expense of Lichaj.  I didn't understand that move at ALL.  There's really nobody else on the roster who would've made sense at right back besides your starting left back?  Now you're down two attacking backs AND have Bornstein on the pitch.  $+%%++# brilliant.

People in here talking like if Bradley would have done something we could have won.

Lets be honest....the Mexican team was just flat out better then us.  I agree that Dos Santos destroyed our defense.  We made dude look like messi at times.  But their off the ball movement and just flat out speed won them the game.  It was enjoyable to watch but disappointing having been up 2-0 and losing.

And to dude who said only inferior teams play 11 man defense....um any team up 2-0 in a big game would have started to pack it in at least a little bit.  Did you watch Italy win the WC, they literally played defense-couterattack the whole tournament and won it.  So i think it would have been incredibly smart of bradley to realize the situation and tell his son to drop in a little more and tell the outside backs to stay back as well.

But hindsight is 20-20 it was a good effort we just got beat.

i know how you feel bro.

i got in to this arguement with a good friend of mineand i find it dissrespectful that a person that has lived here born here and raised here will root for a country that you have visited twice in your lifetime.

then he hit me with the your central american thats the only reason you root for the united states. all central americans root for the united states.

i hit him with the
indifferent.gif
.

im central american and mexican but i was born here that why i root for the u.s. i born here and i was raised here and there is no doubt on who i am gonna root for.

we lost this past weekend and i admit that we lost to a better team. but i am with my country trough thick and thin.

and i am going to say this.
"fake" mexican fans better enjoy this because we are gonna be back.

The security at the game was joke. I walked in with a six pack.

All the Mexico  fans around me were cool. Didn't see any fights. But my cousin who was in the US supporters section told be there was big rumble with some Mexican fans and us fans because a US fan started burning the Mexico flag.

Props to El Tri. We need to fix our backline situation, first let's FIRE BRADLEY!

we could of straight swapped Spector for Dolo, Edu in for Dolo and move Boca back to lb.

anything but put %%+++!% bornstein in a final when he has not played a game in the last 4 months.

smfh at still trying to go for a 3rd, we saw how easy they were attacking even with Dolo in the game....

when that 1st goal went in, I knew it was over.

if we could of held on to that 2-0 lead till at least halftime, then imo we would of had a way greater chance of winning.
they would of started doubting themselfs like they always do..

Bob Bradley does not that roster selecions seriously.
he left out Bedoya, but when Feilhaber when down, he had no other choice...Bedoya comes in and is he is clearly better than rogers and sacha, but somehow bob didnt think he was
worthy of a call up..

Mix > rogers.
Bob should of told nurmberg, @@%* that this is our major tournament and Chandler is coming.

This team needs some Tex Shea.

*sigh.....

were to begin.

I'm a of BB, but I think his time has passed. It's been said several times, and it needs saying again. Jon Bornstein belongs nowhere near the pitch. EVER - and if we see this as supporters, why in the hell does the coaching staff not?

If we're going to fire him, the time is now. Let's do it before WC Qualifying starts.

I know this lost hurt a lot fellas, but we will comes out better because of this. Dempsey shot goes in and its 3-3. We almost played with Mexico straight up and a couple of lucky bounces and we win this game. BB should have put Spector in. I think it might have made a difference, but all that is water under the bridge. Let's look forward.

Adu should be a starter from here on out. Dude looks like he matured to a solid player. He might not be the Wonderkid we once believe he was, but he can be a solid contributor to the NT.

Michael Bradley is a solid midfielder but duke should not be starting every match or at least if he is playing bad, he should be sub out. He should have taken him out when he took out Adu.

BB Should be fired, but knowing Sunil, he is most likely going to stay. If he is, dude needs to think outside of the box, like he did in the Mexico match. I will give him that much, if nothing else.

We are not going to have a meaningful match is a while, So BB should bring in some more players to the pool that need to be taken a look at. Torres, Castillo, Shea, Tracy, hell even Packwood  should be brought into camp at one point or another.

Final note: Most Mexican people and fans have respect for this country, but some do not. I dont know why the hate to the country that offers them so much. Its funny most of my friends used to root for the TRI, but as they have gotten older, some have started to root for the US. Its going to take generations, but eventually these 3 or 4th generation mexican-americans will play on the US NT and become fans. Some like Me and Issac and Guero are already here, but for others it takes time. But the formula is simple. WIN AND THEY WILL COME.

Most of my mexican friends like both squads, but they choose Mexico over USA when they play each other (while some just pick USA regardless). Others, like you said, have complete hatred for some reason...the funniest part is that when Olympic BBall comes around, they're suddenly patriotic USA fans
grin.gif
@#$% outta here. If you're gonna hate, be consistent instead of looking like a damn trophy hunter

I have been noticing that..One of my friends is an illegal and he has starting to root for The US, just not when they play mexico...he even bought the red jersey before me..smh.

Bradley jr..dude did NOT know what to do with the ball at his feet.. he was hesisating way too much, the pressure of playing in his 1st final got to him.

Tex Shea needs to be called in to every friendly from now on..

I'm not really sure we watched the same game. Mexico was always the better side, they just didn't finish early. We finished our only 2 chances early and that was the difference (as finishing always is). But Mexico had created their chances and in reality they were the side that should have been up 2-0.

Until the US realizes that they need a change in their style of play, we can never reach the level we aspire to. We don't possess the ball enough. We can't build up from the back and we give the ball up way too cheaply. The smartest thing a coach had ever said to me as a player was "Nothing bad can happen when you possess the ball". It's something we fail to realize. You can only face so much possession and pressure before you're going to break.

The style of soccer Bradley has our guys play makes me sick. Even if it didn't he should have been gone after the WC there needs to be a fresh voice. It's frustrating to watch because we've gone as far as Bradley can take us yet he remains. This isn't all on Bradley though we really need to change the way we develop players.

It sucks we don't have home field advantage whenver the USA plays... (blame the fans for not coming, or US Soccer not doing a good job promoting the national team)

Should play a game in Alaska........

I remember not a long time ago, we played in Portland and had a good crown. Other places I think would be C-bus, Miami ( Not many Mexicans there)  Salt Lake City (Rio Tinto)  Hartford, Conn.

How about Puerto Rico???
