**Official USMNT Soccer Thread**

Disappointing to say the least. WT* is Gonzalez doing on the second goal score???? Dude :smh: hustle and get the ball out of there. Bengston just outran him. I don't pin this loss on Klinsy, but I wanted to have Bocanegra outhere with the experience starting. Bradley looked tired and sluggish. NO excuses any longer aka we are starting to play, we are a young nation when it comes to soccer, BS.. All these dudes are Pro's some play in the best leagues in the world and you cant beat a good solid team in your region?:rolleyes:rolleyes:rolleyes

That was disappointing however on the bright side, Mexico dropped points at Azteca to the Raggae Boyz :wow: (who honestly should've won b/c the first half chance was far too easy to make) and CR-Panama ended in a draw as well....those results make this loss much more bearable. It's game one, we have ZERO width on this team...they need speed in the worst way, if Boca had played I don't think that second goal happens tbh that backline was really inexperienced together. I'm not worried about qualifying though, if we beat CR then this will all be forgotten

I was surprised the Reggae Boyz (buk! buk! buk!!!) tied Mexico nil - nil yesterday. The only thing for the US though is it get's harder from here. Our young guys have not shown up for this or the Canada game. I don't think it would of made a difference if Bocanegra started/played or not. I'm so disappointed with the play of Cameron & Gonzalez anchoring the back line. They were caught out of position so many times & were saved once by an off sides call.

They were pretty much trash all game as well

Too many USMNT fans get hyped up over our players having one or two good games and then being transfered to F-list European teams/leagues

Seriously, what the hell is the point of joining a club like Stoke that doesn't even play football? That's not how we're gonna develop talent

At least Dempsey and Bradley play for real teams, the rest should just stay in the MLS where they get lots of playing time

And please stop bringing up Altidore. I don't care if he scores 100 goals a year in the Dutch League, dude tries to be Ronaldo on the US squad with that whole "kick the ball in front of me and try to outrun the defender" move he does everytime

Come on, you're too slow for that
Over optimistic USA fans > USA fans that scream the sky is falling every time we play

Dudes be straight seeing things.

If I remember correctly we haven't lost a World Cup qualifier since 2001 or so. If we win our games at home & maybe 1 away, we should go to Brazil...

Nike & the United States Soccer Federation has unveiled the new US soccer kits celebrating 100 years. Cool thing is Nike is continuing it's use of recycled materials.

Each kit uses 13 recycled plastic bottles in the process of making the dri-fit material. the shorts are made of 100% recycled polyester & the the shirts use a minimum of 96% recycled polyester. It's also 23% lighter than previous iterations while maintaining a stronger knit. I like the Don't Tread On Me badge better, but this isn't bad...

Big rivalry today with the US U20 team meeting Mexico today (fox soccer). Should be a good game. The U20 team seems to be player better then their older counterparts....

ditto

Keeping the quote going... The Canadians were getting a little chippy towards the end of the game last week. I think tonight's match should be kinda heated given the rivalry of the countries... I honestly like this U20 team better then the senior team... They play with more chutzpah, maybe even more attitude. I think it might come from wanting to make it to the senior team.

what is chutzah and what language is that.....

I want Ramos coaching the Senior NT. Been saying that for 2 years now

I'm good with Klinsmann, I understand what he's trying to do but the senior team just doesn't have the players to do what he wants. Guys are given the opportunity to play & don't perform. Prime example, look at Jozy going beast mode playing for AZ Alkmaar but he's been ghost playing for US overall...

Can someone breakdown what happens between Jozy playing in the Dutch league and then how ****** he is with the USMNT?

I understand that, Just not a fan of
his style. Hate it tbh.

Ramos >>>>

I honestly think Klinsmanns style would look great if the players played like they should.
This is actually a fair assessment...... but at the same time, the blame could also be on Jurgen for not getting his players to play up to standard.

that was rather quick lol...... we saw this against Canada too. Hopefully we bounce back just as well
