Lookin to stay with friends outside of Rio, but looking at alternative housing options (this scares me because of the prices smh)...

Catching the first round.

Purchased my airfare about a month ago. Apartment was booked almost 2 months ago. Will be based in Rio (Leblon). Just waiting for my tickets. Applied for 3 tst's for the US and El Tri.

Can't wait til December to see where the matches will be.

It sucks that Bradley's squad will have to beat Ghana to advance.

I like the kit on the left but the right one bores me to death. I don't get the historic feel they are trying to push. We don't have a deep rooted soccer history like the European clubs. I was hoping that they would something new age, kinda like they do with oregon. But guess not

US Soccer released it's 2013 audited financial statement. Interesting stuff on page 17.

Klinsmann is under contract thru 8/31/14, making $2.5 mill per year. His potential bonus for the U.S.’ performance at the WC ranges from $500k to $10.5 mill. I guess the bonus structure increases as the US team progresses.

Women's NT coach Tom Sermanni contract runs thru 12/31/16 with a base salary ranges from $195K to $210K with bonuses possible from $25K and $80K based on
the 2015 WC & the 2016 Olympics. He gets paid his rate for 6 months if he gets fired before his contract is up.

Interestingly, the Nike deal info is there also which runs through 12/31/14 which generates $13 mill in revenue for the federation & $2.45 mill in equipment at wholesale prices.

Not having Duece or Bradley sucks but save for Gonzalez (I just don't like his uneven play), I like this roster. I think it's a strong roster. Even though we qualified already, we still need to try to win these qualifiers to help with seating. Hope some of the young guys can play & do well.
